I loved this book as far as offering a narrative alternative to the direction of narrow, bureaucratic testing that is happening these days. It encourages teachers to be reflective practitioners and to construct knowledge of their students themselves. However, I didn't come away with a lot of specific "take-aways" other than the meta-awareness to do research myself. I felt like the findings of the teacher research could have been more generally applicable or if not, that this is a weakness of this approach.
