Fifth Avenue #3

From Manhattan with Love

Rate this book
Stephen King: "Put me down as an enthusiastic Christopher Smith fan. Smith is a cultural genius.

An outcast billionaire's daughter is caught at the wrong place at the wrong time. An international assassin questions her sanity when she falls in love with the very assassin she's charged to assassinate.

What happens when each collide?

Chaos. Murder. Love. Revenge. And redemption.

In this taut, 35,000-word novella, both women come together in an explosive story that threatens each of their lives, particularly when one woman breaks her own rules and dares to fall in love. In "From Manhattan with Love," she soon learns what she always feared. When it comes to real danger, there's nothing more dangerous than love itself.

Good

Extremely short. As soon as it gets good it's over though the read was well worth the quickness and it did provide needed interest to continue to the full length next book.

Another great adventure by Christopher Smith. His characters become real in the pages of the story. My only disappointment was that the ending came too quickly. I could have stayed in this book a lot longer. As in Fifth Avenue and Running with the Bulls, Christopher Smith's storyline and characters are so believeable that the reader is immersed in the action and it is a shock when you arrive at the final page. . . I can't wait for the next installment1

I really enjoyed the first book of this series - the second book not so much (too much obsession with underground sex clubs). This novella started off well - but to me it didn't finish - there were too many characters. I wish the author would have focused on just one plot line, and other than the beginning he never did mention Spocatti's character again. To me - this should have not been a separate book but the start of the 4th one.

Well on a positive note, it is short

This novella has two things going for it. The story is short and therefore more to the point, and therefore more of a page turner. Secondly the characters seems more believable and without clutter. But I don't think that New York has ever been bombed as much as it is in this series.

Assassins Carmen and Alex ,are each hired to kill the other. Instead they join together and kill the head of the syndicate. Alex proclaiming his love for Carmen. It takes awhile for Carmen to love freely. Its a story of the rich using assassins to move up in power, money and into elite circles.

I know it was just a novella, a prequel to the next in the series, but it was just too short. So there wasn't enough story line to grab me.

This story grabbed my attention right away. I loved the characters and the action. The twist at the end was unexpected. However the story ended abruptly. Too short but engaging.

Excellent series. Thank you, Christopher Smith! This is not a genre I typically devout, but these were well written with just the right amount of suspense.

I didn't realize that this was a novella. Was a little disappointed that it ended so quickly, but it still was as good as the first two books in the series.

I was somewhat disappointed that this was released as a novella instead of a complete novel, but other than that, it was another great read by Christopher Smith!

I know it is a novella, but was it supposed to end mid-sentence to add suspense? Or was my electronic copy faulty? Either way, great story...just confused.

I enjoyed this a lot more than he previous two, being a novella it wasn't as wordy but the characters seemed a little less two dimensional

I expected this book to sort of tie up lose ends that were left in books 1 and 2, but it didn't. I got the first 3 books for free from Amazon, not sure whether I want to pay for book 4 or not.
