About the author

After a haphazard career spent working and travelling around the world, I stumbled into romance writing as a way to fund a PhD. My first book, A Sweeter Prejudice, came out in 1991, and since then I've written a further 59 books, some of which have won awards in the US and the UK.
I live in York, a historic city in the north of England, and waste the best part of my days planning trips away or on Facebook and Twitter, both of which mean that I end up writing late into the night. As well as romance, I write 'time slips' as Pamela Hartshorne, and am a freelance project editor and occasional writing tutor.

In May 2013 I will publishing the Jessica Hart Vintage Collection of five of my early books from the 90s.

Fiance Wanted Fast is a book about love and drama , it’s about a man Gib, Who is rich and wonderful , his eyes with sky color , clean blue , his smile , he is clever with women , he don’t lie at them that he won’t marry them , but in final he leave them because they couldn’t stop asking him to marry them and build a family. The last time his girlfriend left him because he look to women like a food, and he can’t just be a friend to a women. As a result he get in a challenge with his best friend (josh) to go and live in the same house with three girls , one of them is Josh’s best friend.. He accepted that , but when he went there Phipe opened the door so he just looked at here she was so beautiful but then he thought that he will be just he friend nothing else , he could became a friend for two of the girls but Phipe couldn’t accept him , he did nothing but everytime she looks at him she feel like electricity all over her body but she have no idea what the reason for that feeling. ( I should make aware that Phipe is broken because her boyfriend Ben left her and he gonna make another girl, and their family don’t knew that she wanted to leave him so they invited her to wedding).. She can’t go alone or everyone just will look at her and became sad for her so they decided to till Gib to act that he is her partner and there , he most to hug her and hold her hand , his heart started to get some feeling and her too but she tried to convince herself that she still love Ben and she couldn’t forget him for a year ago and so , and when they came back her sister came to visit them so they should continue and told her that he like her and she said that she do that too but he said to her that they should be just friends because he won’t to lose her ( i forget an important thing that she worked on a program about a bank and she had lots of trouble and she discovered that he worked in the same bank and he said that when he was acting in the wedding so she became angry). She told him that she can’t trouse him any more he told her that won’t to be more than her friend but he can’t accept that he will be just a substitute for Ben. He get back to USA after she knew about the challenge but he couldn’t forget her so he helped that she can have an interview in the bank , and there she discovered that he was the who want to do interview and he accept just for her and in the final he broke his fear from marrying and decided to marry here



Why should this book be published:


The book type is like other books that most people read today; because:

The book described the details in a similar way to those in movies , like the dress Phipe had in the wedding and the way Gib moved his eyes .. etc this sort of describing the action and drama we had in the book, it’s cliffhanger the reader to continue and know how the story will end , even if they have an idea about how it should be at least. I’d liked reading the book because there were lots love story and different personality for the main character in those stories. The book could be a super movie but it dosen’t became a move yet that make the people buy it because it’s the only way to get the story and emotion. The book is not an ordinary love story because it’s solve lots of problem that is exist in our normal life , the most important one is that Gib has a fear for making a family and the book lower this type of person’s stress by introducing that love fix everything so when we fall in love we start a new life, and Phipes problems , the girl who thought that she knew everything so she looks at the problems from one direction. The writer try to open people's eyes those who haven’t been in love.. And solve their problem so she wanted to make their life better. The book is not complicated that’s mane the we can read it in bus or while we are doing something else , in the same time you can read it as just a dramatic book or a love story and if you had a philosophic eye so you find that you like between the lines. Finally , the book gives a lot of thought into different situations for the readers and describe the solves practically.

3 Stars ~ John “Gib” Gibson while on a mountain climb with his best friend Josh; confides that his ex-girlfriend had accused him of not knowing how to be a friend to a woman. Josh quickly agrees declaring that Gib could never be friends with a woman that didn’t involve sex. Ah, so now there’s the bet. Gib needs to prove that he can indeed have female friends so Josh sets him up to be a housemate for six weeks to three women Josh is very good friends with. Phoebe Lane is dreading the upcoming wedding of her former fiancé. She has to attend as the ex’s family is very close friends with hers, and it would look like she was still hurting after their breakup if she didn’t. So Phoebe’s two best friends convince her to hire an escort, or better hire their new gorgeously sexy housemate Gib to pretend their in love. Phoebe always feels uneasy around Gib, and thinks it’s a bad idea but agrees as long as they stick to two basic rules --- one, always remember the kisses aren’t real and two, stick to their story, no embellishing. And thinking Gib is short on cash, she insists he get the going rate for escorts. Only when they kiss, Gib has to remind himself that he’s supposed to be “just a good friend” and Phoebe has trouble remembering their only pretending to be in love.

A bit slow in places but a charming light love story. Phoebe’s doesn’t want to ruin her ex’s wedding for his family and hers by refusing to go; but going alone will only put her in the spotlight and that she couldn’t bear either. Gib is becoming very aware that he’d been rather shallow in his past relationships and views this little role-playing as the perfect opportunity to prove he can be a good friend. Though we get glimpses of what Gib is feeling, those glimpses are a bit too far in between. I loved their chemistry after that first kiss. I’m very much looking forward to reading Kate and Bella’s stories.

he female character, Phoebe, is still heartbroken after her long term fiancé left her for someone else, said former fiancé is now getting married and Pheobe is expected to go to the wedding. To make matters worse, her and her ex's families are very close and it will be very akward for all involved. Her enthusiastic friends convince her to ask their new (male) flatmate to pose as her new boyfriend and go with her to the wedding. The new flatmate, Gib, is staying with the girls after his friend challenged him to just be friends with women. Gib hides both this and his actual career from the girls but as time progresses both he and Phoebe start to develop feelings for one another.


I really loved this book, and I thought the characters were fantastic. Jessica Hart has the ability to write fantastic 'bridget jones-esq' female characters, hopeless romantics and with the habit of finding themselves in odd situations, they also have this fantastic innate British quality about them! This book has some genuine funny moments and witty banter! The chemistry between the two characters is great, I especially loved Phoebe's exasperation from Gib's habit of embellishing on the 'rules'! This is by no means a passionate romance, but rather a slow paced sweet development of their love, which left me with a smile!

فيبي قي مأزق عليها أن تذهب إلى زفاف خطيبها السابق مدعية بأن حياتها على ما يرام وأن قلبها متعلق بشخص آخر ... وحتى تحقق غايتها نصحتها رفيقتها بخطة تخرجها من هذا المأزق ... اقترحت عليها استئجار شخص والادعاء بأنه خطيبها الجديد .
بدت الخطة رائعة لولا أن جيب الخطيب الذي استأجرته ليس الشخص العاطل عن العمل
الذي ظنته فهو متنكر ليكسب رهانا ... فهل يكون ثمن الرهان هو قلب فيبي ؟

I did like this book.

I wasn't sure I approved of them at first but I did start to believe they were falling in love and it wasn't just her falling for him but they were falling for each other and that was sweet.

فكرة الرواية جميلة و بسيطة و مع ذلك فهي متوقعة بجميع احداثها ولا شيء فيها يفاجىء الا انها تحرك المشاعر المرهفة المشتاقة للعواطف البريئة... بدأت بقراءتها و لم اتحرك حتى انهيتها بثلاث ساعات هههههه
