Of course, Bomb Queen's past comes back to haunt her. Screwing people over is a great motivator for revenge. Too bad that the profanity sucks so hard my eyes hurt. At least we get more panels with Bomb Queen naked. I try to see glass half-full here, but those stars are hard to come by. Sadly, the synopsis is more fun than the story itself.

Bomb Queen is accosted by a journalist she immediately hates and James, a mysterious guy she immediately wants to sleep with. She hits it off with the guy as he genuinely seems interested in her and her origin story, while secretly getting rid of her cat which was always suspicious of him. It turns out he is someone from her past, and not really a 'he' but the Ice Queen from way back when they were part of a group of four queens. He drugs her and throwns her naked outside city limits for the authorities to arrest her while he dons her equipment and declares himself Bomb King. Before being arrested, Bomb Queen is saved by some of the hardest criminals in the city, people she has hurt in the past, but who prefer her way of doing things. Even at a disadvantage she manages to win, as she knows Ice Queen's weakness.

I’m here for the story not the cleavage

Lots of back story with Volume 2.

Bomb Queen meets a male Hollywood power player, James Barry, who wants to take Bomb Queen’s story nationwide. Over dinner and intercourse, the Queen reveals her prior history with the Four Queens – herself, Ice Queen, Drama Queen, and Scream Queen, their rise to power in New Port City, and how that union went up in flames when the other three Queens betrayed her and she had her revenge. Seemingly.

Lots of flashbacks between that story and the present.

It seems James Barry is more than he seems. No spoiler but he’s tied to Bomb Queen’s history with the Four Queens.

I didn’t see the big reveal in advance. Good swerve by the writer.

Fun story overall. I really like the premise of a villain being Top Dog in a city (Bomb Queen is like a sex-charged Lex Luthor) and the story explains how the Bomb Queen came to power in the city.

Also includes the one-shot, "Bomb Queen vs Blacklight.”

This book also has some interesting bonuses, including additional art and an interview with author Jimmie Robinson.

JimmyKitty has really crafted a great story. You're routing for the bad girl and he never misses an opportunity to make you squirm about it. Bomb Queen isn't just a villian -- she's the Queen of Villians. She rules a city that is as filthy as humanity can be -- very literally -- and yet you find yourself cheering for her. And thus exposing your own inner evils.

As we dive into the past of Bomb Queen, ruler of the crime-laced New Port City, the Queen recounts how she went from one of four Queens to the sole ruler to her latest male lover. Yet when the guy reveals he was formerly one those male Queens, BQ must now regain her weapons and City from the transgendered Bomb King!
