Expository Notes on the Epistles of James and Peter (Ironside Commentaries) by H. A. Ironside. Neptune, New Loizeaux Brothers, Later Printing, Hardbound, about 7.5 inches tall, 63, 103 pages. Dust jacket art by Charles E Pont. This is part of this publisher's series of expository volumes by H A Ironside. Marry Allan Ironside (1876-1951) was a Canadian-American Bible teacher and preacher who wrote more than sixty volumes as well as many pamphlets and articles on Bible subjects. For 18 of his 50 years of ministry, Dr. Ironside was pastor of the Moody Memorial Church in Chicago. This was originally published in April of 1947. This series was reprinted often over several decades; the more recent printings had rather lackluster dust jacket, but for many years the series featured the art of Charles E Pont.
Henry Allen "Harry" Ironside (October 14, 1876-January 15, 1951) was a Canadian-American Bible teacher, preacher, theologian, pastor, and author.
Ironside was one of the most prolific Christian writers of the 20th Century and published more than eighty books and pamphlets, many of which are still in print. As an editorial reviewer wrote of a 2005 republication, "Ironside's commentaries are a standard and have stood the test of time."
