While I've been playing 5e and have no intention of playing 4e, there's a lot of great background info and lore here for running a homebrew campaign or short adventure in Menzoberranzan!

Absolutely gorgeous art and terrific house and org descriptions. Sadly, there is no crunch in the book, which makes it less useful for lazy DMs and the geographic information is very sparse. Some more maps would be nice too. A good book, but incomplete.

Still the most up-to-date D&D book on Menzoberranzan, aside from a tidbit in Out of the Abyss. Get this if you want to design a campaign in the City of Spiders - the book is about 90% lore with very little crunch, so it's perfect even if you're running 5e.

The only 4th edition D & D book I own I bought strictly because I’m a huge fan of the Drow and all of their politics, families, back stabbing, and drama. This book does a deep dive into all of that.

I wish they still made campaign setting sourcebooks like this!

This was just the kind of sourcebook I was looking for to plan my homebrew evil campaign set in Menzoberrqnzan

Very nice illustrations and neatly packed information about how to role-play the drow race.
