My favorite librarian recommended this to be about 20 years ago. And I didn't read it then because I thought fantasy was uncool. Fast forward to 2022, and I finally got around to picking it up. This book was delightful, very sweet, and a lot of fun to read. I thoroughly enjoyed the story, which was a quick and clever tale with just the right amount of details and no extra fat. The illustrations were beautiful, and all-in-all, I had a wonderful time.

Will probably try to purchase this one someday.
