I'm not sure where we came across this book, but it was in a stack that we were either going to read and keep, or read and pass on to a Little Free Library. This one is definitely leaving the house. It was so disappointing. Okay, so we started reading it. My son picked it. He's 12. I read it aloud. It wasn't my favorite book in the world but the boys in the book were siblings, and friends, and we could relate to some of the playtime and picking on and just everyday activities of the household and with the neighborhood friend. Well, the title is The Thief and it made us think the we all surely know WHO the thief was, and then it didn't really resolve anything and honestly, the ending...sorry, but it was awful It just did an ellpises and ended. ... just like that. Disappointing. We have read How to Eat Fried Worms, and I read it when I was a kid. I don't think I've read any of this author's other books, but some of them look decent, for kids, but wow, this one. I can't believe it was really the end like that. It wasn't going to be wonderful really anyway, but some kind of actual ending would've been at least SOMETHING.
