You can tell that this book was written by somebody who's learned something about life from real lived experience and the ability to distill that experience into wisdom. It contains many great insights, written in a fluent, captivating and at times humorous style. I found the descriptions of Pluto's placements and transits to correspond well to my experiences and will definitely consult this book for future astrological readings.
Really appreciated the epilogue as well where Forrest goes into the developments of astrology in an age in which our awareness of all sorts of celestial bodies has grown tremendously - way beyond the 'seven planets' that astrology started out with.

I would offer only one point of criticism, which is that I wonder if Forrest is not at times a bit too optimistic about the way Pluto transits and progressions can work out. Pluto is notorious for igniting 'dark night of the soul' kind of experiences, and the author builds his writing on the premise that these kind of transits can either be lived through external life experiences, or worked out through our own psyche if we simply choose to engage in this type of work. I am not convinced whether this choice is really always offered to us. However, it is certainly useful to understand how we can best work with these transits so that they can work out for us as best as they can, and for this you can find plenty of useful insights in this book.

I was thinking that every person is just a physical manifestation of each second passing by. That’s kind of cool. Like a person carries on his life unfolding the secret imbedded in the time he was born.

I was imagining the summer night that I was born, a cool starry night with the waning moon, crickets singing, old trees, and fairies flying by 🧚🏻 And that was me! How romantic it is! I was that night! And all the stars in the sky! I love it so much. Maybe that’s why I chose that day to be born 😀

Reading this book peeled back another layer of astrology in general, as well as helping me understand Pluto’s role in astrology. It helped me understand and fill in some additional information about astrology. I feel like my overall knowledge of astrology grew as a result of reading this book.
