Jade always knew she was different and she always knew there was a special someone waiting for her. She hadn't known he would be four hundred years old--or a vampire.
Barlaam had waited for centuries for his Rajni--his destined mate. He never expected it to be some human girl who was barely twenty-one!
The only honorable thing for him to do was step back and give her a few more years--maybe a decade--before he staked his claim!
Calle Jaye is fun, playful, ironic, professional and sophisticated. She’s super-educated in the field of fiction and would spend most of her time walking around in “Book World” (or”eBook World”).
Does she have slight control freak tendencies? Yep. Why else would she chose to self-publish?
In her day job she gets to read romance novels. In her night job she gets to write them!
Her favorite color is bold purple. She likes rock like Kid Rock, Shinedown, and Nickelback. Add in a bit of Anastacia and Adelle, too.
She collects rocks. Watches crime dramas. Abhors Lifetime Movies and Titanic (especially Leo…) and refuses to read or write about sparkly teen vampires.
She’s married to a cop she strongly suspects is a vampire. They’ve made vampire babies, too.
They live in Indiana with their vampire relatives and their vampire dogs.
I have to say this author is really keeping me entertained!! She has knocked it out of the park with this book. As, she was a new author to me a few books ago. She had moved me to tears when I thought Jade was going to drown. When her mate refused her.
She has great twists and turns that just keep you on the edge of your seat! I can not wait to start the other books of hers that I have purchased!
Jade Taniss has been brought to th Dardanos Resort for her protection. She has known through her dreams for 5 years that she has a destined mate, or what the Dadaptians call a Rajni. She meets him, Barlaam, a Dardaptoan healer, when he carries her from the helicopter.
I'm loving every book in this series, my only complaint is each book is too short. I guess that's the drive to keep me waiting for the next title. I still love 'em.
Barlaam has been in the background throughout the series and has intrigued me on a few occasions. Brother to the king and a healer. He is a bit shocked to find his mate in yet another of the Taniss women. She's too young, she's too distracting and she's pursuing Barlaam hard core. Jade has only been mentioned up until now. She's shockingly insightful about non-humans and knows that he is hers. I liked her spit fire attitude. She's also young enough that she jumps to conclusions without actually talking to Barlaam. Once Barlaam is willing to give up his worries, he proves to be every bit of the loving, protective man that Jade could ever hope for. All read
The whole story was wrapped around how "young" the woman is. Who is 21 by the way but honestly she acted more like 13-14 year old. This story could have been much better but this girl was a little irritating.
