When Gribly saved the world of the sea nymphs, he thought he had conquered his enemies. At least he had hoped for a rest. But a rash code of vengeance drives Lauro Vale, exiled prince, onward, and soon Gribly and Elia are dragged into another desperate chase, this time to an inn on the edge of the known world, where mysterious and ancient forces play a dangerous game with the lives of mortals. Mythical beasts. A growing darkness. Deadly prophecies.

Gribly’s legend is getting grimmer, and hope may cost him more than he’s willing to pay.

I'm the author of a few books and the drinker of many smoothies. My interests in writing are primarily fantastic things and true things. I suppose you could call that Good Stories and Theology. If I had to pick a favorite genre, it would be fantasy, but there are good books in nearly every corner of the library, so to speak.

Very creative

This is now the fourth book of Gregory J. Downs that I've read, and I just can't get enough. I discovered my love of writing much the same way he did, and since we're distant cousins I get to see him fairly often. I think his stories are much more realistic than modern books of this age, and I hope to see his books in actual paperback someday.
