From Exodus to Advent

Rate this book
Comparing the Exodus and Advent movements, Morris Venden draws out the parallels between the experiences of the two groups of God's people. He shows the secrets of spiritual strenght, of dependence on God. Venden deals with such questions as, "What is the purpose of church organization? How does God look at offshoots, fanatics, fringe movements? Is the God of the Old Testament as much a God of love as the God of the New Testament? Is the theme of 'Salvation by Faith in Christ' only a New Testament concept?"
