A good premise but not quite as engaging as it could have been.
It’s the H who should across as the d-b but it was the h I ended up disliking.
They meet at a bar and end up in bed together – and married!
The 3rd chapter opens 8 months later when their differences and other issues crop up putting a break in their happily till now.
The H is an idiot who’s probably not worked out the responsibility and duty part of marriage and commitment before jumping head first into it.
But it's the h’s who puts one off with her unforgiving and self-righteous tone. Everyone deserves at least one chance, which she’s not ready to give him. The author gives us a lot of childhood/psychological reasons for it but she still comes across as annoying and controlling.
Also perhaps I had issues with her thinking of her biological clock on that first night itself. You are having a ons, for god’s sake! How does your clock come into it. So she’s already on a different tangent (as is he!) and doesn’t talk or take the H with her on this.
The family and her doctor provide fillers and it's only in the later part that the story picks up again.

This was a wonderful emotional read,story starts with a flashback 8 months back,Dev(pilot,cowboy and runs a ranch)-Brynn(nurse) meet at a bar sparks fly and first night itself Dev asks Brynn to marry her,Brynn is not so sure but after few days she says yes cause she has fallen deeply in love with Dev,they get married,they are happy but cause of their hectic schedules they find little time for themselves and Brynn is unhappy cause Dev always flies away without telling her where is he,Brynn think he is not used to answering another person so he will take time but still they are happy then Brynn is pregnant,she tells Dev he is shocked and is not ready,his reaction disappoints and hurts Brynn but then she thinks he needs time,she herself had 8 weeks time and now she has accepted it and is happy,after that Dev-Brynn grow distant never talk about the pregnancy,Dev misses a birthday party which angers Brynn,Dev once flew off without telling her this time all pent up anger comes out
Next day Brynn losses the baby and same day Dev accepted the fact he is going to be a father and is happy and was going to tell Brynn that he is ready and so happy to have a baby but then he gets the call and everything is lost,Dev again makes a big blunder again and Dev immediately after saying those words he realises he made a big mistake and Brynn asks him to leave,he apologises and says he is also hurting,he wanted the baby but Brynn does'nt believes him which hurts him more he tries but Brynn thinks their marriage itself was a big mistake and tells Dev to move out

On the surface, there's so much delicious vintage HP-style troubled marriage catnip in this book:
But, alas, characterization has changed since the 1990s. Instead of an austere, arrogant hero brought low by love, we get a whiny boy who needs to man up. And instead of a heartbroken optimist who achieves maturity through suffering, we get a self-righteous critic who needs to work through her own emotional baggage before carping at others.
There's also a surprise plot twist (hint: it's in the title), too many references to other characters/events in the multi-author series, and a forest fire to force a reconciliation. (Why must trees and small animals be sacrificed to bring this couple together?)
Notes:
(1) To be clear, this isn't about infidelity and OW. He simply doesn't change the pattern of his life to prioritize his wife. He's an aviator who designs and sells ultralight aircraft, and is constantly flying off on day trips without telling her his plans.
(2) The pregnancy comes after the marriage. They were using birth control; it failed.
• the hero doesn't alter his footloose ways after his impulsive marriage (1)
• he offers a lukewarm response to his wife's unplanned pregnancy (2)
• he carelessly misses a birthday celebration for one of her family members when he had promised to be there
• she has a miscarriage and believes he sees it as an escape from unwanted responsibility

You know you have a really long TBR list when the publisher re-releases a re-release of a book you already own. It's June 2011 and I've had this book on my bookshelf since October 2009, lol. My saving grace is that Marry Me.. Again was originally published in 2003 and I haven't kept it on my TBR list that long!
I totally enjoyed Marry Me.. Again and it has to rank as one of my favourite Montana Mavericks stories of which CSJ's The Magnificent Seven is my all-time favourite.
What moved me the most was Devlin's love and forgiveness which makes him an unforgettable hero. Most people would be upset with Dr. Brynna's behaviour and you can count me among them. To an outsider, she acts bizarrely in that she never accepts help and if I knew her, I probably would have written off her and their romance as hopeless!
But Dev forgives her and choose instead to help her family and the small Montana community in crisis while dealing with his own family issues. That's smart and sexy and that's why I liked MM.. A.

This was just okay. I picked it up since I was having such a good run with the author’s other books, although those were her historical westerns, this one didn’t make the mark.
It’s not bad, but it just wasn’t developed enough. The main characters have a whirlwind romance and marry in haste. The husband hasn’t given up his free lifestyle, he is a part time cowboy pilot who flies off at a whim, and doesn’t even inform his wife. Now this can be really annoying. What would it have taken for him to send her a text.
The wife is a busy doctor, but when she gets pregnant, the husband is again not so thrilled since, obviously having a family might curtail his footloose ways. He also misses a significant family affair so the wife is practically livid. Then she has a miscarriage and the husband says a careless remark that seems to her that he is relieved this happened. She totally resents him for this and tells him to leave.
The husband is repentant but the wife is still unwilling to forgive him. They need to work out their problems. I takes the rest of the book for them to back and forth, each one blowing hot and cold by turn. For them to resolve anything.
The story is bogged down by details of a Forrest fire, which held no relevance. I had a feeling the author had to somehow put this in so she could link this couple into the series, of which this book is part of. There were also references to many other characters, who were probably part of the series, but since I didn’t read those books, they were just irrelevant to me.
All these superfluous detail just detracted from the story of the couple. I think these kinds of books in a series, are better done with just one author, then the she can seamlessly transition her characters and stories.
Since the books in the series are written by different authors, I just got the feeling that other characters were randomly mentioned in the book..just because.. 😕

We're told that the heroine is sensible and practical but she seems to make one impulsive decision after another.

This is a story about a couple (Devlin and Brynna) that meet, have a night of passion and Dev asks Brynna to marry him (all within 2 or 3 hours). Three days later, they fly (in his plane) to Las Vegas and marry.
The story jumps forward; now they have been married 8 months. Brynna tells her husband that she is pregnant and he seems underwhelmed.
Soon, she loses the baby through a miscarriage. In her grief, Brynna decides their marriage was a mistake. She asks him to leave their home and he does.
The next portion of the story is Brynna's psychological evaluation of the couples life together and the issues each brought to the marriage. This is the most interesting part of the book.
It's a little hard to believe that a physician (Brynna) with years of selfless care for her siblings would up and agree to marry someone after 2 or 3 hours. If you can get past that boulder-in-the-road, then the rest seems feasible.
Another problem I had with the book was the fact that this physician, who planned everything, doesn't evaluate their relationship until the miscarriage. The author does a good job of explaining this but I couldn't swallow it.
Its an interesting story but everyone is beautiful/handsome, and Devlin and his family are fabulously wealthy what a yawn!

Another one set near Rumor, Montana. Married, not legally married, then courting...spicy, but that's about it.
