Jacob's Hip: Finding God in an Anxious Age

Rate this book
The author shows how to experience the peace of God in the midst of life's terrors, arguing that we achieve our greatest spiritual growth during times of vulnerability and insecurity, and providing the example of the Bible's Jacob, who discovered a blessing through his woundedness. Original.

This is what I wrote to the author who is an acquaintence:

I am finally getting around to reading Jacob's Hip. I only read a breif amount and need to stop to contemplate. I love what I'm reading right now about how hospitality has changed and also about personhood and how one cannot fully be who they are if the other is not fully who they are : Community ... Communication... Commune...

We are lacking this in our world. Or at least here in the US. A friend arrived back from Europe and says life there is very different...

Thx for authoring this book. :)
