Cook writes in the note on translation, "I believe that by using the principles of projective verse, a skilled translator can achieve an analogous linguistic intensity in English at the same time producing a fairly accurate poetic translation. In fact, I personally like a translation a little on the 'raw' side by which we may better intuit the thought process from which the original is produced."
