'Three Little Kittens and other Number Rhymes' would be appropriate to read with preschoolers through 2nd grade students. This book is a collection of nursery rhymes that all involve numbers. The illustrations are beautiful and colorful. By reading this book, students will practice rhyming, the class can even analyze the rhyme scheme together, and practice counting and amount concepts. This would be a great book to read to teach basic counting and to incorporate literacy into a math lesson.
