Something about "Rust" grabbed my attention from the opening pages and didn't let go until the very end, although that end came only about an hour later because it moves so fast. The entire story seems to take place in the span of a day, although it includes flashbacks to wartime that happened 48 years before the time in which the story happened. Even though there was a lot of action packed into a little bit of plot, the artwork was especially compelling. Lepp, who wrote and illustrated the graphic novel, has perfected a method of drawing that makes the two dimensional characters appear to be in motion. It's a quick ride, but one that I recommend.
