I began writing professionally 4 years ago. I have always been into reading since I was a young girl. I would stay in my room and read all day long! I have been influenced by so many wonderful authors. I began to realize I have so many stories to tell, and that’s when I Decided to write my first book. I capture real life and turn them into my own intense story. I really hope that my books can become an escape for people who love to read as much as I do.

this book was a wild ride… so much drama!!!
super fast paced and intriguing the whole time i love how each character had a wild story to tell!

ok this was very different

At the beginning I wasn’t sure of where this story was going. My heart ached for Dawn. She needed to be away from that family. Even though her brother was helpful a little he just cut her off and that pissed me off. The mother was a real piece of work. She could’ve kept that phone call, her regret, and remorse to herself. Then the little situation with Dawn and Miranda was crazy. Not to mention Miranda being her husband’s beard years. This was just plot twist after plot twist. Very face paced and engaging. This was my first read from this author and I can definitely read more.

Great read!!!!

I loved this and honestly I feel it would help others to live in their truth.
I would love to know whether Dawn was ever able to talk to David and be completely honest with him. Could've ended happier for her.
Very eye opening to understand their real struggle and I understand why the dishonesty was a necessary evil because people are so judgmental and cruel with their opinions and beliefs but in all honesty 'ONLY GOD HAS THE RIGHT TO JUDGE !!!'

The beginning of this book had SO much potential and I enjoyed myself thoroughly while reading.

This is an entertaining read, however there were a couple of flaws.

1. It was in first person, then would randomly flip to third person.

2. The book transitioned into dual pov around the halfway point. I love dual pov, however it started to stray away from the plot due to this. It gave some background during this portion but I felt like it could have been executed closer to the beginning.

3. The twist in the middle and end didn’t pack quite as big of a punch that I was hoping for

Secrets & Lies. Oh my!

So many plot twists in this story. Definitely introduced me to a different perspective of life and life experiences. This was a wild ride to embark on. There were times my mouth dropped to the floor lol

Realistically Messy

This story contains Dawn who had a terrible childhood (parents are TRASH). She is needing a job to help finish her transition and a friend of hers hooks her up with a once in a lifetime opportunity. Dawn will be a personal assistant to a couple in politics. There are personal secrets that everyone is hiding. By the end my jaw was dropping and I found myself saying omg, OMG, wait wtf lol did you...did she?!

This is my second story by Amirah and she captures the messy human experience. None of her characters are perfect, each one has realistic flaws and drama that surrounds them.

I really enjoyed reading this book. If you like scandal and secrets you’ll enjoy this. What stuck out most to me was the vulnerability of the characters. Them doing whatever it took to be free and live in their truth which is something I think most of us can relate to yes society has us feeling ashamed to do so.
