Only skimmed before returning to the library, but a quick perusal made me appreciate fascinating headings, practical and interesting prose, and an annotated bibliography for future reading. This is an extremely informative overview on the topic of winter exploration, including recognizing plants, tracking animals, telling direction from Polaris (the North Star), taking photos, and surviving mishaps.
