Great book - the author has put together a lovely selection of life stories which are all interesting and different. Easy to stop and start reading as the chapters are a good, readable length. Like the addition of pictures throughout which help add interest (think history books in general should have more of these!) and the mix of individuals is varied so although all are musicians, their life stories are all very unique. I found that this was a nice way to get a lovely general overview of each person's life without having to delve into great big books about them or trawl the internet - but also with a lot more information than I had simply through my general knowledge!
