Este foi um volume que me surpreendeu pela história leve e engraçada que conta. Enquanto lia, não consegui parar de sorrir um minuto. A cada página que lia, mais vontade tinha em ler o resto! Foi um manga que me fez perder a noção do tempo literalmente. O enredo é simples e os capítulos são dinâmicos. As personagens, apesar de não estarem muito aprofundadas, são interessantes e captam a nossa atenção. Adorei o Kousei com o seu carisma, alegria e simplicidade.
A arte também é lindíssima e houve momentos em que tive de parar a leitura simplesmente para a apreciar.
Mal posso esperar para ler os restantes volumes!

Das Cover passt sehr gut zum Inhalt des Mangas. Wir sehen hier die beiden Protagonisten Kako und Kosei, wie sie dem Betrachter entgegenblicken, dabei hat Kosei die scheinbar schüchterne Kako im Arm. Süß anzusehen ist das schon und vor allem gibt es auch einen ersten Einblick in die Qualität des Mangas.
Eigener Eindruck:
Kosei ist der Traumtyp der Schule und alle Mädchen liegen ihm zu Füßen. Was jedoch keines der Mädchen und Jungen weiß, Kosei ist eigentlich ein richtiges Landei und ein Looser, er spielt seine Rolle nur und das mehr als gut. Produziert wird er von seiner unscheinbaren Mitschülerin und Sandkastenfreundin Kako, die mit ihm dieses Spiel spielt, da sie bei ihrer Ankunft in der Stadt bloßgestellt wurden. Kosei soll fortan die Rolle ihres Romanhelden verkörpern, doch mit seiner Rolle geht er ihr zu weit…. Oder ist sie eifersüchtig. Als Roy Minase auftaucht und all das verkörpert, was Kako mag, ist diese hin und weg, das scheint aber wiederum Kosei über aufzustoßen und so entbrennt zwischen Kosei und Minase ein Konkurrenzkampf. Als Kosei bei einer Wahl von einem Magazin gewinnt, wird er noch beliebter und soll als Preis bei einer Misswahl zu bekommen sein. Kako will hier ihr Glück versuchen und Kosei produziert eine völlig neue Kako…
Die Geschichte von Kako und Kosei liest sich sehr angenehm. Wir finden hier eine zarte Liebesgeschichte, eine Menge Witz und doch auch sehr viel Ernsthaftigkeit, wenn man bedenkt, dass sich Leute verstellen müssen, um akzeptiert zu werden. Das regt auch zum Nachdenken an und das finde ich somit richtig gut. Die Zeichnungen des Mangas sind auch sehr schön anzusehen und die Geschichte ist sehr detailliert, sodass man sehr gut mitkommt und somit auch keine Fragen offenbleiben. Dass die beiden Streithähne Kosei und Minase so etwas wie Freunde werden könnten, hätte ich so nicht vermutet, aber irgendwie passt das alles ganz gut zusammen. Ich bin gespannt, wie Kako und Kosei sich weiter produzieren und ob sie vielleicht doch noch so zusammenfinden, wie ich es vermute. Sehr schön gemacht.
Fazit:
Ein sehr schöner Manga, vor allem für Mädchen und Freunde der romantischen Mangaliteratur. Hier kommt ihr auf eure kosten. Von mir gibt es eine Leseempfehlung.

Beh, per essere uno shojo c'è tantissimo testo! Mammamia!! E le vignette son piccoline come al solito quindi bisognava tirare gli occhi più del solito.
Ma dev'essere solo una questione d'età...
A parte questo... É uno di quei casi in cui lui sa benissimo cosa vuole e sta aspettando che anche lei se ne renda conto. Per questo lui fa tutto quello che vuole lei. Senza dimenticare un tocco di idol perché sembra che senza idol non ci possa essere uno shojo manga.

The art style was lovely, and the plot was not bad either! I loved the way things took a turn, every chapter just makes you hope for more.

Mishounen Produce is a quick light shoujo read. Although I put a day or more to complete the series, I actually read it in an hour.
Shoujo manga is not my favorite genre, although I do read it from time to time. Usually what happens to me while reading one is if the story is similar to the last one I read (which might have been months ago) and my mind turns off.
Where Mishounen Produce got me hooked, was the stunning artwork by Ichinose-Sensei. Another honorable mention was the little extras the author included, which I found highly diverting.

Story/Plot: 7
Mishounen Produce is mainly about the relationship between the two protagonists: Kako & Kousei. They are childhood friends who have moved to Tokyo from rural Japan. After overhearing her best friend being laughed at, Kako decides to “produce” him into the image from her favorite manga series Lawrence & Roses, so all the girls will fall in love with him.
What follows this amazing success is . . . (read and you’ll find out!)

The characters within the manga didn’t grab my attention or heartstrings, but I enjoyed reading about their lives.
Besides the main two characters (Kako & Kousei), the manga included rivals in the form of Roi, who looks like Lawrence from Kako’s favorite manga and Tomoe-senpai, who is a top idol/star.

Yes. Since Mishounen Produce was a light read (if it had been more than 4 volumes I don’t think I would have read it past volume 1) and the artwork was exceptional, I had fun.

Obviously from my review you can tell I won’t reread Mishounen Produce, but that is not to say I wouldn’t recommend the series for others to read.
If you like shoujo manga, please take my review with the understanding I am not a huge shoujo fan. Reading this manga was fun, and although I won’t reread it, I am glad I gave it a chance.

Anyone who is looking for any of the following: manga, shoujo, bishounen (it’s full of them!), romance, quick/easy read, high school, the Entertainment Industry, 80s style manga
Personal Opinion:
I enjoyed Mishounen Produce and in time, I might be interested in checking out some of Ichinose-Sensei’s other works.
Personally, after finishing this manga I had the sudden urge to read The Rose of Versailles.

this manga didn’t sit right with me. The hero is manipulative and selfish, he always wanted the heroine to stay “babyish”. he hid her from the world where she could shine and grow. However, the heroine’s actions also infuriates me, she’s also a selfish person who never asked if the hero actually wanted to be a celebrity in the first place. she just- ughh.

Die Sandkastenfreunde Kako und Kosei ziehen vom Land in die große Stadt. Dort gelten sie aber beide als uncoole Landeier, was Kako so nicht hinnehmen will und deswegen eine "Produktion" startet. Sie will Kosei in den beliebtesten Junge der Schule verwandeln, damit er fortan nicht mehr der bösen Kommentare seiner Mitschüler ausgesetzt sein muss. Zum Vorbild ihrer Mission hat sie sich den Schönling und ihre heimliche Liebe Lorenz aus ihrem Lieblingsmanga genommen. Doch mit der wachsenden Beliebtheit ihres Freundes Kosei tauchen auch ungeahnte Probleme auf. Ist Kako bereit ihn anderen Mädchen zu überlassen, oder bereut sie ihre "Produktion" schneller als gedacht? Und wie denkt Kosei überhaupt über die ganze Situation?
Meine Meinung:
Dieser Manga stand schon länger auf meiner Must-Have-Liste und vor ein paar Wochen habe ich mir dann den ersten Band gekauft. Er ist ein typischer Shojo-Manga, der aber mit wundervollen und niedlichen Charakteren punktet. Bei der Geschichte mag man sofort an das hässliche Entlein denken, dass zum wunderschönen Schwan wird. Kosei wird aber eher vom Frosch zum Prinzen. Dass hinter Kako aber auch eine hübsche Prinzessin stecken kann, wird ab und an angedeutet, aber für die anderen Protagonisten nie ganz ersichtlich. In einigen Szenen trägt sie keine Brille und ihr Haar offen und plötzlich erkennt sie keiner - nicht sehr realistisch/glaubhaft.
Fazit:
Mishonen Produce ist der erste Band einer neuen Shojo-Reihe, die viele Klischeés aufweist aber dennoch auf ganz eigene Weise zu unterhalten weiß. Die Charaktere sind niedlich gezeichnet und haben alle ihre eigenen geheimen Macken, die sie sympathisch machen. Einige Geschehnisse sind nicht sehr glaubhaft, aber das ist man bei Mangas ja schon gewohnt, weswegen es nicht so negativ auffällt. Wann

Kako and Kousei are two country bumpkins who recently transferred to the city since there was no high school in their hometown. After hearing some girls insult Kousei for being such a country bumpkin, Kako decides to take matters into her own hands and transform Kousei into a real-life prince (based on Lawrence-sama, her manga crush). But when Kousei begins to drift away from Kako, Kako is left wondering what happened. What will she do to remedy the situation?
As you can see it's a shoujo manga full of lighthearted romance and bishounen! I've truly enjoyed reading Mishounen Produce. It's as if the girl in me was practically squealing herself to death. It's obvious that Kousei has And although Kako is another thick-headed heroine unaware her childhood friend loves her, I can't help but like her a bit. Okay, maybe a lot. I can relate to her in the sense that keep referring to manga that I like (yeah, in almost every situation where she has to make Kousei transform she always refers to Lawrence-sama). Their new friend, Roy, can also be pretty funny. But I have to remove one star for predictability. Otherwise almost perfect!!!

Wow, this is like a mix between the personalities of Ouran High School Host Club and Maid Sama. Not too many cuss words. It has that same 'you can tell one likes the other, but the other is denying it' type thing, like both Host Club and Maid Sama. It's fun and I would so watch the anime if it ever became one. It's also only about 4 vol. so not too long, and everything fits together well in the end :) I would so let anyone read this.

This book was too much for me. The art was awesome, the plot was splendid. Something different for a change. Couldn't put down the book for a minute. I just had to know what's gonna happen next xD

Mishounen produce is about two best friends from the country side that had to move to the big city to attend high school and the girl became the boy's producer, in order to turn him into the it boy of the school and the country's perfect man. Okay, this one was funny and the romance was sooooo sweet. But, the incidents that kept happening were too unrealistic. Plus, the guys that kept popping out of nowhere in each chapter, trying to get the girl, were silly and, again, too good to actually happen. The romance was obvious, though the girl couldn't possibly recognize the signs (of course) and the manga overall very predictable. Plus, it kept repeating itself on every chapter!!
