Runner: A white knuckle crime thriller

Rate this book
Josie lives her life ‘hiding in plain sight.’ She escapes into ‘the act’ and into physical running.

But after the murders, the police think she’s guilty and she thinks things can’t get worse.

But they can.

Mafia gangsters demand money, terrorists demand bombs and the Triads want everything.

Her only recourse might be to run … and run and run … but eventually the running will have to stop. Then she will have to fight back.

And the bad guys really do not want to upset her.

A Thrilling Ride with a Fierce Protagonist

This book is a pulse-pounding thriller that keeps you hooked from start to finish. Josie is a fascinating character strong, resourceful, and determined, yet haunted by her past. Her life of constant running, both literal and metaphorical, paints a vivid picture of survival under immense pressure.

The stakes are incredibly high, with every new twist pulling Josie deeper into a web of danger. From mafia demands to terrorist threats and Triad schemes, the challenges she faces feel relentless yet compelling. The story’s tension builds as Josie transforms from a woman on the run to a force to be reckoned with.

The writing is sharp, the pacing is relentless, and the action scenes are exhilarating. This is a story of survival, grit, and the power of fighting back when the odds are stacked against you. A must-read for fans of strong female leads and high-stakes thrillers!

Josie has problems. She's not like other people but she gets around it by keeping to herself often by exercise such as running.

Her world is shattered by murders, especially when suspicion falls upon her. And as the facts emerge, things only get worse for her.

Runner is a well-written, high-octane, roller coaster of a book.

And I challenge anybody to foresee the twist at the end!

Runner is a pulse-pounding thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. Josie’s world of running turns into a deadly game of survival, and the twists with mafia, terrorists, and the Triads made it impossible to put down. A gripping, adrenaline-filled ride that proves sometimes you can’t run forever, you have to fight back.
