Definitely suggest you skip this book! Full of contradictory tips, and some really bad advise that could potentially harm someone. Also a lot of rants, just because you don't like something doesn't make it a tyranny.
The author gives okay tips on living frugally but doesn't go into any details on how much one COULD save. The author also seems to be a Luddite. Eschewing technology because it wastes precious electrons that you pay for every month but again doesn't say how much one could save by doing it.
The authors own personal experience also makes it hard to take much of her advice into consideration. By the authors own claims the only debt she has ever taken out was a small mortgage early in her life. It makes it a bit harder to relate to since for the average reader probably has things like student loans, car loans, and maybe a mortgage at the very least.
If you want a short read that could be better summed up by places like Reddit or numerous blogs then give it a read. You should pass on this book.
Well intentioned, but generally operating under the assumption that the reader is very wealthy. One of the author's suggestions is literally "spending a month in Europe or on a Caribbean island every four years instead of a week once a year", and she seems to assume everyone owns their own house and at least one boat. (Yikes.)
Nothing really new here, though most of these ideas are actually something one would be able to implement realistically. Mostly common sense ideas on how to live withing your means.
