I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. A Beta hero, excelling in awkwardness, shows his giving nature and extreme and endearing devotion in “A Baby for the Billionaire Cowboy”, by Kris Bock (Tule Publishing), while falling head over heels for a pregnant heroine. I really enjoyed the story about Xander, the youngest of the Tomlinson brothers, a reserved, shy hero, with a heart of gold. Watching him dealing with Daisy – and later Avery – in such a caring, thoughtful manner is a great experience. I liked that he’s aware of his characteristics and peculiarities, and the way his family deals with him, too. Besides the sweetness, the honesty is also captivating. I also liked how the story focus perhaps more on the characters – peculiar Xander who’s best with animals than with people, and pregnant Daisy – than the romance, although I wouldn’t have minded having a little more of this. Daisy is dealing with some serious issues and a pregnancy and now this unexpected attraction to the boss… I loved and had fun with the embarrassing moments, the silent and blatant matchmaking by some subtle and not so subtle females in the story, the affection, friendship, love and support between the Tomlinsons. I liked returning to Last Stand and meeting again the characters from the previous stories and see how their lives are going. It’s great that Ava Tomlinson, the matriarch who doesn’t take herself too seriously, will also have her story.
This was such an interesting story. I am reading this author for the first time. This is the first book I have chosen to read from the series is this one from the three received. And, it's mainly because this one has a cover that is visually appealing to me. However, it is so far from the two characters' reality it's laughable. I am far from disappointed about that fact though. You see the two characters are so different and yet extremely compatible. The book carries an air of the old mail-order bride vibe. Yet, with a whole bunch of twists and turns.
The book opens with Daisy being skittish and trying to explain to her mother, that she never tried or ever wanted to be with William at all. Only to work for him. He wanted her to follow his directive to a tee. When he hired her knowing she had no real work experience, he was happy because he could Groom her to do everything His way. Getting pregnant was a terrible mistake. She never wanted to be with a man like him ever, for the first time especially, since she didn't love him. And the bum rush to marriage was not what she wanted, it was all William.
So, she ran to her great-aunt Rhonda’s home in, Last Stand, Texas. This is where we find out the truth about her situation. She tried numerous times to convey her situation to her mother. She could never get anyone to listen. However, her aunt did come out before the wedding and met William, instantly disliked him. Her aunt chose not to attend the wedding. Making the day of the wedding all the more unbearable. The last straw is the smirk on Williams's face as her father starts walking her down the aisle. That did it she hiked her dress turned her tail and ran. Jumped in her car and left town and her family behind. Blocking everyone in her rearview mirror. Going to where she knew she would find her aunt at the Tomlinson fundraiser. That’s where she meets him for the first time, Xander.
Xander comes out to let her know her aunt would be a while. Asked if she would like to come in. But, she preferred to stay in the shadows, the day's events leaving her to feel exposed. He said they could wait outside, and she agreed. And then, asked if she would like to dance, she said yes, but wasn’t sure she knew how. Daisy told Xander he didn't have to wait with her, but the look on his face told Daisy he didn't want to go back in. He asked if she liked dancing. Daisy said it was not that she didn't like it. She was in shoes she already had blisters from, and they were killing her feet.
Xander suggested the cool grass it was like dancing on cool air. So, they did and their connection is similar to the way stories talk about. Until her aunt Rhonda hollars out for Daisy Mae and the way she bellows it. Now, to Xander’s ear, it sounded like Desiree. He retreats into the party to be once again bombarded with requests for money. While the two ladies have their private reunion. Hoping one day soon to see her again.
Boy is this a case of, being careful of what you ask for. Because those in your life have a power greater than yours. Xander understanding that he is a genius doesn’t mean that he knows how to get out of his way to get the girl. Daisy can’t stop looking over her shoulder to see she found her forever home. Along with the man worth fighting for and being a part of the best family ever.
I did enjoy this story. I loved, how the author allowed the two characters to find out on their own time about each other. I didn't like that no one addressed that William, S.A.’s Daisy. Because when a girl or woman says NO, repeatedly it means, no. She may have been at the age of consent, however, she was, and is, naive. Although, each day thriving since living under the roof of Ava, yet still Naive.
I received this arc of A Baby for the Billionaire Cowboy from Tule Publishing in exchange for my honest review. This is the fifth book in Kris Bock’s series, The Accidental Billionaire Cowboys. I have read and loved all the books in this series so far. Kris has included all the family members in the previous books so we have already met Xander Tomlinson, who is featured in this book. Xander is the youngest of his siblings. The prior year, their mother Ava had bought a winning lottery ticket and they won a billion dollars. Each of his brothers figured out what they wanted to do now that they have enough money. They also found their partners and are happily settling into their new lives on or near the family ranch. Xander is the computer and business whiz plus he also helps care for the animals and runs the ranch.
Daisy Taylor has found herself pregnant with her boss’s baby. Her parents and the baby’s father are forcing her to marry him. Right before the ceremony, she runs and starts driving to Last Stand, Texas to her Aunt Rhonda’s house. Rhonda has hopes to introduce Daisy to the Tomlinson's and maybe she can marry Xander as he’s single. When Ava meets Daisy she offers her a job as her assistant. She is to work with her and Xander. He becomes very protective of her and the two spend a lot of time together because of work and his family events. Xander is attracted to Daisy but feels it inappropriate as he is her employer. Daisy is also attracted to Xander but is afraid of pursuing it after what happened with her boss as well as thinking he’s not interested in her. She is very happy in Last Stand, she likes her job and the Tomlinson family a lot.
After the baby is born, her ex comes back into the story and becomes a problem for Daisy. There is a lot of angst between Daisy and Xander about their feelings and suspense with the baby’s father and his actions. I really enjoyed this particular book from the series the most. Daisy and Xander are so genuine and she fits into the family really well. Their love for each other and the baby is so touching to the reader. Kris has created a beautiful family with special significant others. I highly recommend this book and series. I am looking forward to reading the next book, Ava’s story.
Story Title is completely wrong there is nothing like it suggested.. A/c to me author didn't want to write this but to complete the series she has to write it.. Xander and his family were tooooo good..The reasons I didn't like this book are: 1. Confusion between aunt Rhonda relation it is mentioned she is Daisy's great aunt and she is in 60s🤔 if Daisy is 20 her parents will be in 40s then grand parents in 60s right and grand parents in 80s right??? 2. How come Daisy parents said nothing when she didn't complete her studies and why she didn't complete her studies?? 3. She got job without degree with her babies father and nobody said anything. 4. A/c to me Williams didn't seem negative in starting bcz there was not a scene which described him as villain just to connect Daisy and Xander author gave implicit reasons to make him villain. 5. Daisy let William to touch her and didn't say anything and didn't fight because she wanted it. Because she didn't mention that she didn't want to sleep with William or she was forced to do it or was guilty nooo . But she did mention pregnancy was not she thought. 6. Even William proposed her to marry her but she didn't want it and ran bcz she didn't love him but was ok to sleep with him. 7. It was mentioned William manipulated her or groomed her to be her wife but it was not explained clearly in words how he tried except sleeping with her which she to some extent she agreed. 8. Playing victim she didn't want to co-parent reasons are not valid and detailed.. It was father's right. 9. In the end William being villain wanted money from hero in return of Daisy and child he kidnapped to them I don't know why. He could just go the court for proper case.. Like in ending to make him villain futile reasons were given.. In short I didn't like Daisy 😂😂 and first time I am trying to defend villain 🤪
A Baby for the Billionaire Cowboy (The Accidental Billionaire Cowboys Book 4) by Kris Bock is the last brother’s story, Xander Tomlinson, story. He is the youngest, the smartest book wise and the most introvert of the family. However, he is the easiest to love. His story is my favorite of this favorite series of mine by Ms. Bock.
Daisy Taylor has been pushed prodded and manipulated by others in her life. Now as come to Last Stand, Texas to stand on her own and take care of her coming baby. Being offered a job on the Tomlinson’s Ranch is blessing that she does not take for granted. A meddling (in a good way) mother, a loving tight family and a place to blossom is just what Daisy needs. I knew where this story was headed and could only hope that characters, Daisy and Xander could too. There are some unexpected twists but that character gets exactly what he deserves. It helps to have a smart lawyer in the family too.
Hoping to see more of this family I thoroughly enjoyed this one. What can I say, Ava is one smart woman. A Baby for the Billionaire Cowboy is one wonderful story too.
An ARC of the book was given to me by Tule Publishing which I voluntarily chose to read and review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I liked this book. This brother seems like he was the "forgotten" brother only because he was the quietest of the bunch but he did so much behind the scenes for his family to keep things going. The one thing I noticed and I liked in this series is the author found a strength for each person and they excelled instead of making the brothers jealous of each other and their strengths. What I liked about Xander was that he was so kind, respectful, and had the biggest heart but he was always growing and learning. I liked Daisy she was going to do anything to protect her baby and those she loved. She was a fighter for sure! I think throughout the series my favorite character has been Ava. I did like being able to catch up with the other characters from the other books I forgot how much of pistol Carly was. Overall I just really enjoyed this one and I am not sure if more is to come from this group but if not this end the series on a wonderful note. The author did keep the book fairly Clean and its a super quick easy read.
Daisy finds herself unexpectedly pregnant with her boss' baby. He and her parents push her to marry him quickly. This is how we find Daisy running away in her wedding dress minutes before the wedding. She runs to her Aunt in Last Stand. There is a fundraiser ball going on and with her dress she fits in with the attendees. She shares a dance with a handsome stranger and then disappears. The stranger was the youngest Tomlinson brother and this is Xander's story. He is still not great about handling the fame that came with his family winning the lottery. When Xander's mother hires Daisy to work in the office he can't deny his attraction to her despite her pregnant belly. Can Xander let Daisy into his neat, quiet organized life? Can they survive all the struggles that come along with Daisy leaving her baby daddy behind when her family wants her to marry him? Very cute meet cute. Sweet story.
This book series just keeps getting better. I really enjoyed Daisy and Xander’s story and couldn’t get enough of them. I liked how neither of them was looking for romance, but they found it in the end. There were so many sweet scenes in this book, along with some family drama and some major drama when it came to Daisy’s baby’s father. I enjoyed seeing the bond between Daisy and Xander grow and how her family accepted her as one of their own from the start. Even though this book is part of a series, I think you can still read each book as a stand-alone.
This book was so good that I read it in one evening. Once I picked it up I just could not put it down.
Daisy worked for William and ended up getting pregnant. She is in her early twenties and he took advantage of her. Her parents are upset because she has gotten pregnant they are all forcing her to marry him. At the last minute of the wedding she takes off. She goes to Last Stand to live with her Aunt.
While she is there she meets Xander and goes to work for his family while she is pregnant.
Check out this book I think you will enjoy it as much as I did.
I really enjoyed this sweet romance. Kris Bock took the time to really develop our various MC's, none of them are carbon copies with different names. As in the three previous books in the series, she explored the pluses and minuses to a huge lottery win. Daisy our FMC is loveable and slowly grows in her strength and readiness to standup for herself. I wasn't sure how the "already pregnant" trope would go, but I think it was done well. Overall, a great clean romance. *I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.
Ok, so, this.was.a mis-purchase for me. It was mislabelled, and not my normal genre but, I bought it so, I read it. I know it is book four but, it was.easy enough to follow along with. It has ZERO smutt, or even overly romantic interludes but, it was sweet.I I knew by the end of the first chapter that I was going to finish it. Also, it even distracted me from my cringe tv,.so that was another star in the author's favor. If you are looking for a PG sweet small town romance, then you will enjoy this.book. Heck,.likely the whole series.
I picked this book up on a whim - I didn't expect to enjoy it nearly as much as I did!
An unexpected woman finds herself pregnant and has to find her hidden strength.
A man who prefers his own ranch to venturing out wants nothing more than to risk telling her how he feels... but she's his employee, and she's already had a boss take advantage of her once.
Plus, it was closed-door, so I wasn't surprised by anything, except how much I enjoyed it! I had never heard of Kris Bock before... Excuse me while I search for more...
In A Baby for the Billionaire Cowbory ~ The Accidential Billionarie Bowboys ~ Book 4 an unwed mother, Dasiy to be is being forced to marry a man that was her boss and the father of her unborn child when she runs away from her wedding. She runs from the wedding and heads to Last Stand, Texas where her great-aunt lives.
The first person she meets is Xander the youngest brother of a family that recently won the lottery. Ths is their story of how they fell in love and found a happy ever after together.
I voluntarily read an advanced reader's copy of this book for a honest opinion.
A Baby for the Billionaire Cowboy by Kris Bock. Another great addition to The Accidental Billionaire Cowboy's series. This book is the fourth in the series. The storyline grabbed me from the first chapter and I didn't want to put the book down. Enjoyed the characters, character development, dialogue and storyline. A great book from start to finish.
Such a lovely and touching story of building relationships of love and care for a runaway pregnant bride. Daisy is hounded mercilessly by her parents and ex-fiance because she ran away from a wedding she did not want. She found the comfort and security she desperately sought and the love of a deep and quiet man. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Sweet serendipity with a temptingly, awkward flair. Bock tackles emotional depth, heartwarming romance and the unpredictability of life with a sense of humor, a dash of common sense and a sprinkling of irresistible. Xander and Daisy are at a crossroads in life. Each is searching for their place in a world of heartache and uncertainty. A Baby for the Billionaire Cowboy is the tale of two wandering hearts in need a second chance.
From being made to marry a man that she did not love or want she took to her heals and went to her grate -aunty for help and someone who cared for her ,and that was how she met her future husband and had her baby at his home with his family so happy endings for all.I would like to say thank you for all your hard work and may fortune smile 😃on you always 😁from a bookworm that loves to read
I loved Daisy and Xander’s story in the fourth book in the Accidental Billionaire Cowboys series by Kris. Although part of a series you can read it as a standalone book but it’s so good and entertaining you’ll want to read the rest. Xander and Daisy were so determined not to fall in love it was so satisfying to watch them fall for each other.
I can always count on the characters of Last Stand to have relatable stories with challenges along the way but having a little bit of fairy tale romance feel. Xander and Daisy were no different and perhaps one of my very favorite couples I’ve gotten to know in Last Stand. Well worth the read and I cannot wait for Ava’s story.
What a great addition to this series. Daisy and Xander’s story is an enjoyable read. Their story was a very heartwarming but there was lots of drama too! From the moment you begin reading you will not be able to put it down. I think my favorite of this series so far. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Only a few months of knowing the guy (like 2-3M) and barely any interactions she asked him to be the godfather of her baby 😭 maybe I’m not a romance book reader because wtf
This book just seemed to drag. Not used to reading a book where it takes 73% of the book for any hint of romance to take place. Sorry but I won’t be reading anymore by this author.
