In this book, Bryn, Sinjin, Chevalier, and young Damon are set to find Luce's latest camp, after his defeat at the major conflict at Kinloch Kirk.
In order to travel as quickly as possible, the group needed to travel through Fae highways, where the cost is something precious for the one paying the price.
Sinjin, of course, volunteers to be the one to pay, and is taken back at what was asked of him. But he stuck to his decision, and paid the price.
On their journey, they meet Chevalier's older sister, Audrey, who helps them to bargain with a rather tricky Monseiur D, the leader of the Court of Les Invisibles.
This was an interesting read, with Sinjin's reactions making me laugh quite a bit. But I won't say more - just read the book, and I'm sure you'll agree that he was definitely given a comeuppance! Lol
I'm now going on to Book 23: 'The Diplomat', to see how the group's journey ends. So, I'll catch you on the flip side, to let you know what I think of it.
