This is an MMF revenge book.
It starts with the heroine, Morgan (who is 28) burying her abusive husband after she killed him. It turns out that he raped her 10 years ago in high school, with 3 of his friends. So, she goes back to her hometown in time for her high school reunion, to kill those guys too. Along the way, she reconnects with her 2 childhood best friends, who are in an MM relationship with each other and they also want her. (She hasn't seen them in 10 years, because in high school, she ditched them for the popular crowd).
That’s a good premise! It immediately grabbed my attention from the opening scene. And it wasn’t a bad book. It was just lacking in some areas. Morgan’s personality was going back and forth between being broken / insecure, and being a bad bitch who calmly murdered rapists. I don’t mind a heroine who is both tough AND vulnerable – in fact, I like that! But the way it was done here felt like Morgan's personality was all over the place. This book was simultaneously doing too much and not enough, in terms of digging into her emotions while also trying to be a gleeful revenge story.
Like for example, it didn’t really dig into why she stayed with her abusive husband for 10 years before finally killing him. Or, why she ditched her 2 best friends in the first place (10 years ago) to be popular. So, although it tried to explore her healing from her past, none of that really landed, since it glossed over a lot of what she was healing from, or why she behaved the way she did, in the past.
This book needed to pick a lane: either commit to being a revenge story where she's a bad bitch gleefully going on a murder spree, or else commit to digging into her trauma in a way that feels realistic. This story tried to do both of those things at the same time. And, the result is that it was a weird "in between" story that wasn't quite satisfying on either of those levels.
But, all that said, if you’re in the mood for an MMF revenge story, this might hit the spot.

Must read ! Taking her life back after a decade of abuse, getting vengeance (and justice) from her 4 rapist. And falling back in love with her 2 best friends. This is MMF, the love they show her is amazing so is the guys love for each other, and the 3 together are perfect! Some good spice too!

I enjoyed this book so much, a story with spice and morally grey characters.
Morgan returns to the town she grew up in to sell her parent’s house and take care of some business. She reunites with Graham and Luke and the way these two take care of her, it’s 🔥!
If you like morally grey characters, forced proximity, light BDSM, fantastic spicy scenes and 2 men who know how to take care of a woman than this book is for you!

Morgan has spent ten years in abuse but her abuser husband is buried in the woods in the backyard. She is going back for her reunion, take care of her parents house, and get her revenge. Morgan ends up seeing her old two best friends Graham and Luke who she lost touch with ten years ago. The attraction between them is intense. Can she let herself go with them and still get her revenge? Great characters and storyline Highly recommended Amazing Book. I love Morgan, Luke, and Graham and the character development. Great supporting characters. This is my first book by his author definitely not my last

Revenge was glorious, but even better than revenge was the freedom that came afterwards.
Queen of Vengeance has been, by far, the best addition to the Brighton High School Reunion shared world. I devoured this book. It was a one-night, up until 2am, read. I relished the angst. I reveled in the drama. I absolutely supported the revenge plot. Plus, the smut was top-notch.
This is a story of survival, of regaining one's freedom, of discovering that you are more than what’s happened to you, and taking back control of your life. And the most satisfying feeling of all, getting sweet revenge on those who wronged you and got away with it. I loved watching the FMC, Morgan, reclaim her strength, strength that had been stripped from her 10 years prior in an incident no one believed her had occurred. She went from a broken woman to someone who found her voice and could stand on her own.
I had so many mixed feelings about her childhood best friends, Graham and Luke. Luke was easy to love, falling back into the feelings he had when Morgan broke off their friendship all those years before. I was rooting for him the entire time. Graham though… He might be hot and can do some magical things with his body, but that grump almost lost my vote for a HEA. I needed to see if he could figure out his shit and unfuck himself. Proof that he deserved Morgan’s love.
Queen of Vengeance is fast-burn and uber-spicy. The guys teach Morgan to reclaim her voice. They help her discover what feels good with a lot of kink exploration, loads of praise, and continuous checking for consent. Explicit MM scenes are included along with MF and MMF.
I applaud Poppy on her treatment of their HEA. It might be my favorite ending in a second chance story. The extended epilogue is a very nice touch (be sure to download it with her newsletter signup).
I cannot recommend this story enough.

Queen Of Vengeance is part of the "Brighton High School Reunion" world / series. So far, the series has been fabulous! Every book is written by a different author and focused on a different person / couple. So not only do you get to meet a ton of great characters, you also get to experience new authors and writing styles!
This was my first book by Poppy Jacobson, and I was super impressed with their writing style. Sometimes with my ADD, it takes me awhile to get invested or interested in a book; but I was invested in this book from the first page!!
The character development was brilliant, and I adored the FMC. I also love that there was some "dark" touches to the book. The series has been pretty "wholesome" or "tame" for the most part.. Sure there's spice, but this book brought some new topics, some new twists, and the dark touch I've been wanting to see!
Can't 'wait to read more by Poppy!!

I absolutely loved this MMF second chance romance!
Morgan has been through hell for the past 10 years since she graduated high school. In her senior year she ditched her best friends and finally got noticed by the star footballer (Troy) and thought she had the life she wanted until it took a dark turn and 10 years later she's out for revenge on the four men who ruined her.
When Morgan returns to Brighton she unexpectedly reunites with her childhood best friends Luke and Graham and the desire they share for each other hasn't lessened over time, but there is a lot of resentment and hurt over the fact they were dropped by Morgan all those years ago.
The spice in this book was top tier, and I loved the kinky aspects to the romance. This is definitely a darker romance and deals with a lot of traumatic themes, and some aspects could be triggering to readers.
I loved Morgan, her strength and resilience, and how she turned her life around. Luke was an adorable ball of sunshine, and Graham was the grump who deep down has a heart of gold.
I found myself rooting for them both and also wanted Morgan to get the revenge she deserved.
For fans of Poppy Jacobson, you won't be disappointed, and if you're new to her work, welcome to the club!

So far I loved everything Poppy has written 😍 so I didn't even look at the blurb! 🫣 That's why, at first, I was a little anxious that Queen of Vengeance ~ a Brighton High School Reunion ~ would be too high school-ish for me (I'm not a fan 😉 lol!), but this story takes place 10 years after they all left high school.
I absolutely loved the story!! 💖 Talking about a strong opening! 💀
Some mixed feelings about Morgan (she was a premeditated murderer, but other moments she acted like a insecure, scared little mouse). I'm still not sure whether I even liked Morgan?? 🤔 It wasn't until the end of the book that I started to like her a little. Same goes for grumpy Graham and his ambivalent behavior. I loved how protective he was of Luke though! Luke was an absolute sweetheart! 🥰 And as a threesome they complemented each other perfectly! 💕 That's why I'll never understand why none of them didn't try harder to get back together 10 years ago?? 🙄

This story was the one I looked forward to the most in this series. Not only was the story line great, the details were spot on. I’ve read a lot of books and they always talk about what their hair smells like but if the FMC has colored hair there are specific products you have to use to keep up with it properly. Poppy took the time to include details like those in this story which I absolutely loved. The FMC is definitely a strong woman who is out for revenge. She will do whatever it takes to take down the men who hurt her. Even if it means leaving behind the ones she loves to find herself. I loved that the ending wasn’t your typical happily ever after. Yes the HEA was there but the FMC didn’t just jump straight into a relationship which is different than most stories give and I loved that. A definite must read!

Wow. I don't even know where to begin. Part of the Brighton High School Reunion series, Queen of Vengeance is amazing. Murder, broken hearts, abuse and hot scenes are all in the pages.
Morgan left Brighton and her two best friends after she suffered something terrible and no one believed the truth. Luke and Graham were her everything - until they weren't.
Ten years later and after more abuse, Morgan has had it. It's time for her revenge and in the midst of that, she reconnects to the loves of her life. Passion and secrets explode. Morgan and the men need to figure out what is worth saving and what is worth the risk.
I enjoyed this book very much.

This has been my favourite Brighton High reunion story of the series. This is more my style with Morgan, our kickass FMC who returns for the reunion with a side of vengeance.
She is forced back to repair and sell her parents house but has plans for four of her old school mates for what they did to her graduation night.
Great to see her reconnecting with the two grumpy sunshine guys she fantasised about in school. So good to see them supporting her and showing her what life could be like without her abusive husband. Luke and Garrett help her repair her home and her heart, tho after Troy she wants independence and autonomy in her life now.
There’s even some grovelling here from our grumpy pair, tho not as much as I’d like.
All in all an excellent short story.

Amazing! This book was an amazing ride! This is the 5th book of The Brighton High School reunion series. It’s about Morgan (prom queen) and her 2 favorite men. Morgan made a mistake getting in that car with Troy at the beginning of her senior year. A mistake she wishes she could take back but she pays for that mistake dearly on prom night, 10 years later she’s still paying for it. Morgan has had enough and it’s time for some revenge but she wasn’t expecting to still have strong feelings for her two best friends. Will she get her revenge? Will she heal everything Troy and his friends broke? Check TW

Holy hotness the spice in this book was perfect and it didn’t overshadow the plot. Morgan definitely got her vengeance on those who harmed her all those years ago. Along the way she rekindled with some friends from the past. Then blew things up with said friends from the past. This story kept my interest from the first few pages until the last and I couldn’t put it down I ended up reading it in one go.

I read this book in one day. Of course it was amazingly good, because POPPY! Morgan was a force. She broke my heart, but I loved that she was finding her backbone again. I could definitely relate to what she was going through, how she was feeling about all the things that happened to her and her need to get revenge for the way she had been treated and beaten down. The loneliness she was feeling and the happiness she felt having Graham and Luke by her side again. This book was 10/10 for me.

This was an easy read with a fantastic storyline that had me reading the entire book in one sitting. I loved the characters and the dynamics between each other. Morgan was out for vengeance around her 10 year High School reunion, determined to make those who hurt her pay for what they did. This book was tugging at my heartstrings one minute and spicy the next. Great read and absolutely loved how it ended.

Definitely Check TW and CW on this one. The way this one started OMG my mind was blown. I had a feeling I was really going to enjoy it. And I sure as heck did. Morgan took her time getting her revenge but boy was it satisfying. Luke and Graham when they weren't being mean were just the right mix for Morgan.

Morgan is heck bent on getting revenge on the men that ruined her life her senior year. No one had believed her when she told what they did on prom night and after being married to Troy for 10 years she finally had enough and started plotting. Omfg. I loved this so much!!!! Everything about this was absolutely perfect! And the FMC had my name????? I would've read it for that reason, ALONE! Morgan has definitely become one of my favorite FMCs. Her strength? Her bravery? Her tenacity? Can I be her when I grow up?! And Luke and Graham?! Two of the sweetest, sexiest, most loving MMCs ever! Adored them!!

Loved this book so hard! A dark, DARK, second chance, friends to lovers romance. Morgan is finally free of her abusive husband and reunited with her childhood best friends, Graham and Luke. While healing from her troubled past, she’s determined to seek revenge for wrongs done to her and embark on a journey of self discovery. I LOVED Morgan’s strength, vulnerability and determination!! Such a strong FMC. And Graham and Luke get serious points for standing by her.

Once you start the story the author has you in her gripes and doesn’t left you go until the end. You feel how Morgan was treated by her piers and when no one believed her not even her parents and two best friends Luke & Graham. Morgan comes home after 10 years to extract Justice to what was done to her on prom night in high school. She also reconnects with Luke & Graham. Boy does it gets hot when they do. Morgan works thru her pain at the end and finally gets a happy ending. I was so happy I was crying at the end.

This book was beautifully written. The story was emotional. And had a wonderful story.
This book was not particularly spicy. It did have its moments, but it was mostly glazed over for the story itself. All in all I enjoyed it a lot.

This hit all of my emotions. I read this book in basically one sitting, I had to know what happened. I felt so much for Morgan, Graham, and Luke. They had all been through so much, in their own way over the past 10 years, only to be thrown together again at a very difficult and complicated time. She may have made some poor decisions in the past, but Morgan deserved her freedom and her vengeance. As much as I was rooting for their relationship, I was so glad she did what she needed for herself. Absolutely loved this emotional story.

Holy hell this has legit been my favorite book out of the entire Brighton High School Reunion series by far!!! I swear there literally isn’t anything that Poppy can write that I don’t love and this is no exception. I mean I did lose sleep because I refused to put this book down and said fuck work they’ll manage if I’m half dead tomorrow 😂
We have Morgan who was the Prom Queen and now she’s seeking vengeance against not just her husband but players from the football team who raped her after prom and just left her there. I mean 10 years in the making and girl had PLENTY of time to just plot. Then to run into the two men Luke and Graham who she grew up with and hell the heat between those three 🥵🥵🥵
I just was not prepared for this book at all in like the best way. I’ve also said before please check your TW though I read stuff that isn’t always easy for people. However I felt so much in this book. I was angry for Morgan, I cried for her and yes I did actually legit cry, but I was also happy. My emotions were everywhere. It’s such a good read and even if you don’t read the entire reunion series I really do recommend at least reading just this one because it’s sooooooo good I promise.

Loved this book! Couldn’t put this down, this is the fifth book in a series of interconnected standalone. It can be read on its own but I feel for better enjoyment you need to read all the books. Check your triggers before you read as there are plenty.

The author captures her despair and emotions really well and you’ll truly empathise with her. She reconnects with her highs school best friends Luke & Graham when she returns home for her high school reunion. Their reunion is a angsty story of betrayal, forgiveness and love.

I absolutely loved this book! Poppy is one of my favorite up and coming authors because her dark romance is just 🥵 This story is an MMF story involving characters who knew each other in high school and reunite when the FMC comes back in town for their 10 year high school reunion. Oh and to k*ll the men who r*ped her in high school. I loved that the FMC was our morally grey character instead of one of the MMCs since that’s what I usually read. The only thing that bothered me was how hesitant she was to do anything with them and how slow they had to take things, but I also had to keep reminding myself that she was in an abusive marriage for 10 years, so that’s obviously going to affect her. I definitely recommend this book!
