The Forgiveness Factor

Rate this book
Scott Bradley, former pastor and community leader, shares his story while integrating sound principles for change. His father was a wounded Vietnam War hero that struggled with flashbacks and PTSD upon his return. He abused Scott’s mom, others, and eventually killed a man. After several prison sentences, failed marriages, and substance abuse, he gave his life to Christ. He is now an ordained minister, elder, and jail chaplain. Scott’s mom experienced the pain of failed relationships, broken dreams, and trauma. In response to her pain, she chose a healthy lifestyle by honoring God. She remarried and now mentors other women. With a deep level of transparency, Scott invites readers into his life. He describes the challenge of growing up with abuse, addiction, and abandonment issues. His story is one of tragedy and hope. He's been married for eleven years with two daughters. His family has reconciled and is committed to helping others. Real hope is found in Jesus Christ, The Forgiveness Factor.

This book is the family history and testimony of Scott Bradley. Pastor of "As Is" church in Portland Or. I applaud this brother for being so open and transparent. Even though we were on separate paths, his testimony is uncannily so very close to mine. I feel like I know his heart and if I met him he would instantly know mine. We will overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony. Praise Jesus! This book is a testament of how unfailing God's love is - How God can change even the worst of us - How God creates beauty from Ashes….in a nutshell, the story is Scott Bradley's but the book is about the greatness of God! If you get a chance, read this book!

This book is real and Pastor Scott is very transparent in all of this life, the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Although I've never gone done the path that Pastor Scott and his family have; I have a son in the world of homelessness, drugs, jail/prison, and blaming everyone for his problems.

All those who have family involved in this lifestyle, those who have broken relationships, those who need to forgive and those who need to be forgiven need to read and embrace the truths within the book.

I read this book on a recent flight to Scotland.
