Selissa is a normal human woman cursed with amenisia, stuck in an temple. Her only friend is a priest who doesn't mind that she is a little bit different than everyone else, she is covered by a tatoo on her back that noone can explain. Selissa tries to find out anything about her life before she arrived at the temple. One day when a group of refugees shows up looking for sanctuary, another stranger arrives who seems to know something about her. A young apprentice was murdered in the ceremony hall, which the stranger informs Selissa that she is the reason why it happened, that its a warning. He informs her that she needs to leave the temple that "they" are after her. That they either need her or she is threat to them. She can make the first move or she can wait for them to find her. So she leaves the temple with this stranger to find out about herself. She finds out that the "they" are a clan of demon worshippers called the Deimos who are trying to release the demon lord Azarial and that the archangels are the ones that imprisoned him.
The book recieved a 4 out of 5 for me due to it being a little slow to start. But once it did get started there was enough action and a budding romance to keep me interested in the story. I will definately be reading the next book to find out what happens to Selissa.

Resounding Echo is a very intriguing novel…I wasn’t sure what to expect when I began reading it. I more or less jumped into it completely unaware of what I was about to experience, and I have to say I was really surprised! First off, I love the concept of archangels and demons (having put the latter in my own books) and so the fact that this book’s fantasy element relies so heavily upon these two beings was already a plus for me. At first, I wasn’t sure if I liked the main character, Selissa. She is feisty and incredibly temperamental with a tendency to fly off the handle at the flip of a light switch. But as I got to know her better, and understand her troubles and learn the truth about her past, I really fell in love with her. She is a character that grows on you, for sure. But I have to say I loved Alassane. Michelle did an excellent job portraying his character, with all of his weird quirks and sarcastic manners. He is perfectly real, but at the same time he harbors this dark secret that I was definitely not expecting! Oh, and Ardeth. Wow. Talk about hunky in a murderous/demonic/bony (haha) sort of way. Get ready for lots of fun with his character, who was also well visualized in this really interesting story.

Overall, I really liked the book. It had a very nice blend of mystery, action, intensity, gore, and fantastical elements that blew me away with their creativity. I don’t know how Michelle came up with some of the crazier elements in the book, but kudos to her because I was itching for more and gasping in turn at each new discovery! I sorely wish there had been more romance, but that’s really the hopeless romantic in me begging for more.

In a nutshell, this book is unlike anything I have ever read, and the plot kept me guessing as I went on. I’m giving it a solid four out of five stars.

Give this book a try, and I promise you will be in for a wild, crazy, demonic ride unlike anything you have ever experienced! If you enjoy fantasy, especially in the realm of demons and angels, then this book is right up your alley. Michelle’s very unique creation does not disappoint!

It is a good story with interesting characters, set in a medieval world full of demons and angles!
