Anger begets impulsivity begets regrets. Nothing quite like a Greek tragedy to teach that actions done in rash fury often lead to distasteful consequences. I appreciate the added commentary after the second and third plays.
A Greek king is warned that his fate will be to kill his father and lay with his mother and does everything he can to avoid it, only to fail. Oedipus was whiny and Creon is a slimeball, but Antigone is cool and the themes of fate are fascinating. 2 1/2 stars.
