For most of us, math is a struggle—even when adding up the price of shopping, or calculating how much should be in our bank accounts. George Lane has devised a series of simple steps, and in this wonderful and fun book teaches us how to perform a range of mathematical tasks—from simple addition to complex equations—with ease.
The book is a good, concise read with no unnecessary fluff. Great techniques logically laid out for handling the calculations of big numbers (i.e. breaking them down into smaller more manageable ones and using trivial calculations from there). It becomes very quickly apparent that all the author's techniques rely on highly developed short term memory to keep track of the calculations at hand. I don't have this kind of short term memory and in modern life I don't have the time to develop it sadly. If you're under 20, you've got a lot of time on your hands and no job I'd thoroughly recommend this book however :-)
