Shea Grayson has loved hockey player Shane Stevens for two years. Their on again off again romance has driven her to the point of madness. About the author

Kayelle McClive

4 books3 followers
Kayelle lives in Buffalo NY but was born and raised in Southern Indiana, just north of Louisville, KY.

She is a mother of 5 children and a grandmother of 2. She's also married to the love of her life who also writes and helps plot out stories and assists with characters from time to time.

Her love of the paranormal began with The Lost Boys and there was no going back. After she fell in love with authors like Laurell K Hamilton, Keri Arthur and Patricia Briggs, she decided that she wanted to delve into a world where Werewolves, Vampires, Mages and Demons not only existed but flourished and were usually pretty sexy too!

She has a passion for professional hockey and her favorite teams are the Buffalo Sabres and the Pittsburgh Penguins. Her love of those boys on ice and the game itself has prompted several short stories with hockey players and their ladies as characters.

She is a self professed fan girl and has a very unhealthy (but fun) obsession with Nickelback, Tom Hiddleston, Jeremy Renner and Ryan Reynolds.

When she’s not up to her neck in sexy creatures that go bump in the night, or those hot hockey hunks, she dabbles with photography, watches too many movies and listens to a wide variety of music.

Her first novel Confederate Moon was the 3rd place Winner in the Passionate Ink Stroke of Midnight Contest in 2012

My review originally posted on romancing-the-book.com is below

This was a quickie read (only 20 pages) but a lot was packed into the story. I was surprised that with so few pages there was an actual storyline and felt this easily could be turned into a novel - reminiscent to me of books by Deirdre Martin who also writes books with a pro hockey team and the players at its center. Past history of the two characters, Shea and Shane (a hockey player) is alluded to and you can feel some of Shea's insecurities and pain. A happily ever after could be in the offing. Very steamy. I will give another book by McClive a chance since this was an enjoyable read and I have not previously read anything else she has written.

Favorite Quote: Two years of on again off again dating, two years of waiting. Two years of nasty break ups and still she walked right back to him and knew she always would. He was the one, at least in her mind. Even if she married someone else someday, they wouldn't hold the place in her heart that Shane did.
