"The only Latin I know are the Harry Potter spells."

What's not to love about a zillion pop culture references, t-shirts that constantly change on the wearer's torsos, and cameos by Tony Danza and King koopa?

Issue 1 of "Good Luck" is a trippy story about a band that is transported to Ancient Rome to fight in gladiatorial games. I found it on the 'Local Homies' shelf at That's Entertainment in Worcester. The story itself begins in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

I can't speak intelligently about the art, and though the storytelling isn't exactly smooth as glass, this is still a cool read. Hey, if you don't think so, you can still get called a punk and learn a little Latin for your trouble.
