When a Celtic queen trades her soul for that of her son, she wakes in the 21st century suffering from amnesia. Driven to Scotland by a stalker, she seeks safety in the arms of a fishing captain. But as the two grow closer, her fears are rekindled. Is he the man who destroyed her family? Or is he the warrior in her dreams, wrapped along the lengths of her cold lonely limbs?
The Viking king lost his beloved wife, their kingdom and nearly his life, only to be resurrected by Irish magic. Given one final chance to find his soul mate, no matter the century or her mortal form, he allows himself to be cursed by a thousand-year spell. Should he fail, the world he knows will crumble, and no one will be left to stand between his young son and the hate of his violent nemeses.
Equally mesmerized and tormented by one another’s appearance, the pair must choose between fleeing from their fears or facing a reality too shocking to imagine. With rival forces drawing ever closer, they must find one another before Something Wicked once more comes.
I wanted to like this book, I really did, I found the premise promising and liked the contemporary parts; however, it was just too complicated with tying in what seemed like three story-lines in a disjointed manner, no explanation just jumping and using italics on occasion to indicate this, i also found the ending disappointing and unsatisfying - sorry!

I really dislike making reviews as we all have such varied opinions, but I think I may start as I have some time off from work for a few weeks :) I love this book. I really think it is different from alot of the sub-par materials out there. I usually read a mix of romance with actual historical material, which tends to make the first seem childish and the second seem spice-less. This one falls in between the two and I can see why another reviewer made the 'confusion' claim as you really have to stick to the details to follow the plot. Personally, I did have to re-read a chapter, but that may have been my fault for multitasking at the time.
Take your time reading this, and you won't be disappointed. I'll also admit that I got this book for free from Amazon a few weeks ago and I didn't get around to reading it until two nights ago.
