Much better than I anticipated - it covers a lot in its small size, and gives you good pointers to have in mind while reading the bible. Because we live in the current year and a different culture, many things have gone unnoticed in translation, and in our lack of knowledge about the ancient times. Beck shows how a little more knowledge about the times and culture can give us a new and better understanding of a lot of places in the Bible. This is one of those great value books to have with you on your bible reading journey, and even your apologetics encounters.
