I don't think this book is "bad" per se, but it is so, so, so long. There is something about how the author describes the events that makes it hard to retain my attention. Some chapters I kept a strong focus (which is rather hard for me to do), others I skimmed through because I either already knew the topic or felt it was starting to meander a tad bit too much.

But that is just a very personal quip and not entirely the fault of this book. The content is well researched and offers tons of good information. Just that the delivery didn't entirely vibe with me. I bet plenty of other people that read this book will think it is an excellent read and won't feel as distracted as I did.
