I just read this book to Lukey Boy and although he was uninterested after the first few pages, I continued on to read REAL FACTS about all three elusive creatures I so love. Seriously you guys, nessie and bigfoot and abominable snowman are out there. Things discovered in the mid 19 hundreds that were previously classified as myths: okapi, komodo dragon, gorilla. Also at the SD zoo there is a snake (the mang mountain pit viper) that was discovered in 1995. Mark my words, we'll have a sasquatch in the zoo in my lifetime. I can't wait.
I really like it because it is about monsters from the past. It tells you about monsters you never thought it would be true but it is. If you believe in monsters you would "WANT" to read it.
One of the things I liked about this book is that it tells you that it is a Level 3 reader for grades 2 and 3. It is a short book about different mythical monsters like the Yeti, Bigfoot and the Loch Ness monster. It has some real pictures that have been taken along with drawings and other illustrations of the beasts.
it was a gr8 book as I came to know abt three monsters abt whom scientists are not sure if they exist but some evidences have also been found which suggest otherwise. So it was a nyc book.
