Gandhi, a CEO? Absolutely—and an incomparable example for our uncertain times, when we need leaders we can trust and admire. Not only was he a moral and intensely spiritual man, but also a supremely practical manager and a powerful agent for change, able to nurture the rebirth of an entire nation. Alan Axelrod looks at this much-studied figure in a way nobody has before, employing his fluid, engaging, and conversational style to bring each lesson to life through quotes and vivid examples from Gandhi's life. New in paperback.

Abusing "Mahatma" is a fad! But, I suggest we read and understand what "Father of our Nation" DID, SAID, and STOOD for; and this might give us better means to accuse him or follow him.
I picked up this book as I was intrigued by the title " Gandhi CEO"
A very peripheral view on Mahatma Gandhi's ideology . If one needs to understand the Mahatma better then I recommend his autobiography " The Story of My Experiments with Truth ". Coming back to the objective of the book , I feel that it is difficult to apply the concepts of Non-violence and Non-cooperation in the context of the current corporate world . Apart from a few interesting quotes here and there , this book doesn't serve as corporate guideline . It feels like the author is force fitting Gandhiji's thought process into something that can be packaged for Corporate executives.
Less excitement compares to Napoleon but Gandhi is a person full of philosophy and a humble leader. However, Axelrod present it in a simple way and I can feel 'Gandhi' in this book. Such a pleasure in knowing a person in such a tolerance to mitigate any risk and to comply as much as possible in reducing the hatred to external, British as well as in between Muslim and Hindu.
Generations to come will scare believe that such a one as this ever in flesh and blood walked upon the earth
~ Albert Einstein
The book summarises the 14 basic principles of Mahatma Gandhi and how they can be applied by mordern leaders in the boardroom and market place. It inspired me tremendously and I will try to summarise them and share with everyone.
