“Holistic” has become an umbrella term for a wide array of therapeutic systems, encompassing natural health, emotional healing, and spirituality. The Holistic Therapy Bible sorts them out, making it easy for readers to find the ones that fit their own specific needs. Encyclopedic in scope--from acupuncture to zero-balancing--with a practical exercise or tip on virtually every page, it demystifies a complex subject for anyone seeking a healthier, happier life.
I am the author of over twenty books on natural health, holistic living and spirituality. I am passionate about seasonal living, fitness, yoga, meditation, dreamwork and shamanism.
While I don't buy into all the alternative therapies in this book, it was published in 2001 and way ahead of its time. I can guarantee you that there are people in 2025 who haven't heard of some of the "therapies" mentioned in this book.
I enjoy most of Jane Alexander's books. She has such a fresh and engaging view on health, wellness, and self-care.
This book was filled to the brim with information. I do use quite a few holistic remedies, but this book had more than I could have imagined. I really liked that she gave ways to do some of these therapies on your own at home. Great resource.
