Excellent story....

చదువుతున్నప్పుడే కాదు ఈ కధ గుర్తుకొస్తేనే గుండె బరువెక్కిపోతుంది. కళ్ళు చెమ్మగిల్లుతున్నాయి.
Hats off to Chalam garu.

This is third book of chalam that I am reading and probably the best so far. Though short and crisp, Felt like reading a proper story with a defined start and end. Everything wrong with our then and today’s society is very neatly covered using Sundaramma as his story subject. Sundaramma ante amitamaina jaali, Chandrashekaram ante jugupsa.. irugunti poruginti pinnigaarla meeda chiraku.. ila raka rakala bhaawodvegala tho chalam manatho kabatti aadukunnadu. Again it makes me wonder how the fuck did this guy is so open a century ago and wrote a whole ass story around widow marriages. Unfuckingbelievable. Must and must read 🔥

Well..Though it was written in 1930s, Some parts of this book still reflects the present world and the women. I'm glad that I read this and recommend it to all in Telugu speaking/reading community.
