Fingerprints of God: Recognizing God's Touch on Your Life

Rate this book
To a blind person, human touch is essential. In the absence of facial expressions, it reassures and comforts. But can you still feel the warm and soothing touch of an unseen God? Author and musician Jennifer Rothschild, who lost her vision at the age of fifteen, explains how God's touch works from the inside out, warming the heart, mind, and soul. It lifts weights that eyes could never see. It washes away the anguish of guilt, the bite of fear, and the ache of loneliness. With the gentle pressure of His hand on our shoulders, we can find our way through the darkest of nights.

Jennifer Rothschild is a recovering perfectionist who has learned to live beyond limits ever since her life drastically changed at the age of fifteen, when she lost her sight. Now, more than 30 years later, she boldly and compassionately teaches women how to find contentment, walk with endurance, and celebrate the ordinary.

She's the author of ten books, including the best-selling Lessons I Learned in the Dark, Self Talk, Soul Talk, the popular Me, Myself and Lies Bible study, and her soon to be released, God Is Just Not Fair.

As a speaker, author and accomplished singer-songwriter she travels internationally, offering fresh, sensible, Biblical advice to audiences who, like her, are determined to pursue healthy and fulfilling lives in spite of their circumstances. She has shared her practical and inspiring messages to arena-sized audiences across the country, and media outlets including Dr. Phil, Good Morning America, Life Today, The Learning Channel and The Billy Graham Television Special.

Jennifer is an avid listener of audio books, a C.S. Lewis junkie, and has a weakness for dark chocolate and robust coffee. She and her Dr. Phil live in Springfield, Missouri, and have two sons Connor and Clayton and a lovely daughter-in-law, Caroline. When she is not traveling, Jennifer enjoys nature walks, and riding a bicycle built for two.

This book answered so many questions in my life and opened my eyes to God's hand upon every circumstance of my life. Even in my darkest and most confusing seasons, His hand of guidance and comfort never left me. Jennifer's personal reflections really spoke to my heart and revealed to me a loving and caring God who works everything out for His purpose and for my good. I was able to reflect upon and readjust my responses to the challenges in my life. This book really helped my perspective and promoted a lot of inner healing.

Perceptive and wise, Jennifer Rothschild writes from the heart, with warmth and sensitivity. Reading When Nothing Else Will Do, I felt like I was sitting across the table from her. Jennifer loves Jesus and will help you love Him too.

Jennifer Rothschild is a new author to me. I was looking for a new Bible study and came across her while perusing The Cove website. She does an excellent job of bringing truth and practical application to her lessons. Very creative ideas for group interaction as well.

I have to say that I did not care for this workbook as much. I really enjoyed the 'sermons' but the workbook was confusing.

This was my first study by Jennifer Rothschild and I can't say enough good things! She was so relatable to read, told great stories in the book and the videos and I thoroughly enjoyed this study! I actually felt like the homework was WAY too easy though! I wish there had been more, but I'm kind of a homework nerd that way, lol :) But I really hope my Bible study group does another one of hers soon, she's great!

I jsut finished this book in a Bible study group, and like most Bible Studies I've done, I find only half of the study I get much out of it. With this I actually got a little more out of it that I normally would. But as side that the author is blind, she has an amazing out looking on life. I would recommand this to a group of ladies to do together.

I learned more about the Holy Spirit than I knew before. I also learned about tuning in for God's fingerprints and guidance.

Book was great, but the bible study part of it was a bit confusing. So many open questions with wrong answers given. Recommend just a read, not for study.

Good and inspirational. I would have like more of a straight forward story line instead of quote after quote of the Bible but story is in there.
