A new potty book with sound from bestselling illustrator Caroline Jayne Church!
Caroline Jayne Church and her lovable illustrations have loved children through and through, shown what fun the holidays can be, and how music can bring us closer together. Now her irresistible toddlers shine in this new preschool title focusing on the 1-2-3's of potty training!
Complete with a sound module of that familiar potty flush, Potty Time! is Caroline Jayne Church's entry into a proven timeless topic.
The toilet flush sound is probably any kids favorite part of this book. I enjoyed all the rhyming and I appreciate how short it is, but it’s not like a quality book by any means. Overall, would recommend for kids between 2-4 who are being potty trained.
This book only has 8 double page spreads. But it has a giant "FLUSH ME!" button that comes through on each page. And children will laugh and giggle and love pushing that button. It is a fairly simple story and the illustrations are in Caroline Jayne Church's characteristic style that we love as a family. Caroline Jayne Church is one of our favorite children's illustrators. This book is simple and fun and gets the point across. I don't think it will be a great potty training tool, but it will always bring a smile and laugh from children.

A mildly interactive book, this allows the child to push a "Flush Me" button which shows up with each page. Given that there are only 10 pages and 5 illustrations this is an easy book for kids to connect with. While my 8 month old is not ready for the potty yet, she loves reading the book! And I'm ready with a book list for when she becomes interested. I loved the brevity, clarity, and the push button flush!
I mean it was like... Funny? So I gave it a 2 but it's not really instructive for a child in any way. It's like a book for adults who might think it would be awkward to tell their kid to use a bathroom but I think after changing diapers for a bit no parent is going to feel to awkward approaching that subject.
Jack borrowed this book from the Spring Hill Library. I picked it because we are trying to get him interested in potty learning, and he read another book from this author about a teddy bear. He listened attentively to the whole thing and thought the teddy sitting on the potty was funny.
The button can be hard to push but the story is good and the illustrations are cute. It has made no difference in my potty training and the character is definitely a boy.

My Review: I can't tell you how much we love Church's books and this is now different. The same familiar illustration style and simple lines. It is a good encouraging book for little ones using the potty with the added fun of the flush sound button. I like how it starts out with a Hurray on the first page so just thinking about the potty is exciting not just success. We have read this on the potty so many times that Munchkin now as it memorized.
Too short a read for an adult but just right for a kid trying to learn to use te potty. The flushing sounds adds a cheery feel to the story and is a great additional to a child's imagination and learning. The story gives out an independent feeling for the child to learn to use the potty and a sense of accomplishment for a milestone at his or her age.
How can you not giggle at a book where you push a button to make a flush noise? This book is interactive and fun. Great to use for potty training. I found that the button stopped working very quickly so that was disappointing.
Simple story to introduce the idea of potty training to a toddler. I liked the fact that the bear used the potty too (my daughter thought it was hilarious and promptly took her bear to the potty).
