Overall an excellent book for first time teachers to use as resource in planning to teach Math. Also great for anyone switching teaching grade levels - higher to lower or vise versa. Could be updated just a tad with current philosophies/strategies - but the main ideas and suggestions are extremely useful - one should overlook the copyright date !
Don't let the outdated cover turn you off. Book is in a Q&A format new teachers will find comforting rather than overwhelming. At times, the book will leave you wanting more but there are plenty of other books for those topics.
