She did it – Libby Evans got into Columbia! She left Hollywood and The Brat Pack behind and hasn’t looked back. That is until she realizes that getting into Columbia was the easy part… and after things go from bad to worse, Libby ends up on the verge of getting kicked out of school altogether! The only way she gets to keep her spot is if she impresses Ramsey West - a young, hot-shot Assistant Professor, with a 3000 word extra credit essay.
Unfortunately, Ramsey isn’t willing to go easy on a privileged Hollywood socialite who has already missed two assignment deadlines. Libby also isn’t a fan of Professor West’s harsh demeanour and arrogance, no matter how tall, blonde, and ridiculously sexy he is.
Is Libby willing to do what she needs to do to convince Columbia to let her stay, and is it what she really wants?

I don't know where to start but one thing that this book is far better than the first book, I couldn't really feel that I read 251 pages as it was a page-turner and so light even though it talked about some deep subjects like low self-esteem and how people see us from outside and how does that affect our mentality and we start to act according to that, and in which way we can get over that if we just did what we do best and prove them wrong and the most important thing is to do that thing for ourselves first not just them or then we would lose the meaning of what we were doing and for who, because at the end of the day, you don't have anyone but yourself. Also, I would say that the friendship in this book has taught me a lot that even if we fight sometimes we will always get each other back and we will never disappoint each other no matter what. one last word I can say is that this book has taught me how to love myself first and not care about the rest, and when I do something I should do it for myself not for other people to see which was great advice Thanks to the author
let's move to the story This time the book talks about the new journey of Libby in Colombia University and how is she dealing with all the gossip about her being a model and a great student how she doesn't deserve to be here, and how love has and will affect her life in the university and in which way the things will turn out to be, and as a new male lead enters the scene guiding the whole situation with all the wisdom he has with such a perfect figure and mind, you can't but really love their conversation after all, but would Libby handle that love correctly or would thing go down the drain again, well you have to read to figure out what happened to Libby through her journey to discover her heart, her mind, her career, and her love life, and would she always choose the right track or would she lose it somehow, and what kind of friends will she have there and what kind of enemy would she gain , would she be safe , i don't think so trouble will always follow her no matter what but every trouble has a solution after all .. I guess that is all i can say about the story or i would be spoiling alot..
Let's move to the Character Libby, the FMC goes to Columbia University with a broken heart would she survive the pressure of people looking down on her and her heartbreak or would she surpass it all, she is a person with two sides so strong sometimes that she can handle the worst condition and make things easier and she is also so weak that everything affects her self esteem and she does everything she can just to prove the people around her wrong, but would she be able to grow up as she is guided by a great person or would she fall in love and make things worse well you have to follow her journey, and as we see her navigating her life between study , love, work , good and bad friends we would see a lot of things that we can relate to from the low and high self-esteem to the wrong and right kind of love, the stubborn side that can lead you to good places and all the in between
Ramsey, the new MMC is just boyfriend material, so smart, has a way with words, a professor with a great figure that you can't but fall in love with somehow, and just he has a way of making things better with his smartness, as he falls in love with her he makes things better and worse and just does everything he could to make her reach the place she deserves while trying to make her look into her strength not just her flaws which were amazing cz no one can really see through her as he did and no one can easily reach her hear as he did but would he be okay at the end of the road or would he not, so yeah you can count him as my fav character now he is 10/10 nothing can be said more
Wentworth, I really don't know what to talk about him, as he was really out of it and he just destroyed my heart and Libby as well, also coming back late and trying to get her back and being so jealous for nothing , he was just not worth it, I was so shocked with the way he turned to be but it is okay cz we got someone better after all
the rest are just either Lo, theo, the best friends you can get as they do everything they can just to make you happy and stand by your side no matter what which made me wanna have friends that I can fight with and still be friends with as they really care about how I feel and what I'm doing to myself ..
Caroline , and her friends made the book more interesting as they just made the book even funnier presenting what the brat pack was like but into different kind , couldn't but hate them but at the same time their ending was just as perfect as i hoped it would be
One last word, this book was better than the first and i can't wait to see the third one in the series, And fir sure it is also worth turning into a movie, cz i was able to imagine every and each scene that was described, Thanks for the Arc copy i couldn't be happier
Let's move to the quotes : To every girl that’s ever had her heart broken, this one’s for you
“and you’re not supposed to see me looking pathetic and attempting to cook pancakes for the first time in my life.
You,” he whispered. “All I ever want to do is stare at you.”“And why would you want to do that?” she whispered back.“Because you, Libby Evans, are mine, and I love every inch of you,”
so now Libby was here. Wentworth was not, but his name kept coming up all the fucking time
everything I am is more than enough. No one has ever made me feel like that, but you do. You make me feel like that every time I’m with you. You have always made me feel like that, and I know you always will.
I’m only ever trying to be good enough for you,” You are always good enough for me
She felt like she was in a deep abyss of blue and grey, and all the depression and sadness that came along with it
Caroline,” Libby smiled “It’s sweet you think this is my first time around the block, but I have been dealing with bitches like you my whole damn life, so you are nothing special, honey
Like when he talked to her they were in their own little bubble and the other people in this dive bar didn’t exist except to create the white noise that surrounded them
he'd tried to call again this morning, not that Libby should have been surprised. He’d tried to call at least once a week since the summer, or at least she assumed he’d been that regular
What were the actual rules of a break-up? Libby didn’t know. She wished she did
Only for you, my love,” Wentworth replied as his lips descended slowly onto hers. “Only for you.
Regardless, he couldn’t help but notice how stunning she was. Whether she was ‘sparkly pink cocktail dress Libby’ at a NYC dive bar, or ‘casual jeans and a T-shirt Libby’, she was still absolutely fucking gorgeous
“I mean, I’m the dumb Hollywood socialite who was late for our meeting last time because I clearly don’t care about anything unless it’s drinking cocktails or getting my nails done
“Being a woman who is both incredibly intelligent and incredibly beautiful
Yeah?” Libby asked, trying to keep calm while Gigi continued to talk about the one person she had been avoiding talking about at all costs. The one person she never wanted to talk about
He stared at her enough that even the littlest things about her were catching his eye. It was those little things that were haunting him when he thought about her, and he thought about her a lot
Had he remembered it right, though? This touch felt more intense. He could feel all his insides turning. They felt warm and fuzzy. He felt like a schoolboy with a crush
she was passionate about all of this and that was evident in the way she talked about it. The passion simply oozed out of her with every word, and unfortunately it was making her that much more irresistible to him right now
Every time he was around that woman, it was like he lost total control of his mind and his body. He couldn’t control his eyes. He couldn’t control his breathing. He couldn’t even control his heart so it would beat like a normal person’s. He couldn’t act like a normal person at all apparently
You do you, Libs. I’m just looking out for you.
maybe the more he said it the more she’d realize he meant it, because he did. He fucking sucked at this, but he needed Libby to know how he felt. She deserved to know. She deserved more than he had given her so far. She deserved to be adored and cared for. She deserved everything, and he wanted to give her that
Just stop it,” she repeated.Libby could hear her own cries ringing in her ears. Her mind was replaying Wentworth’s words over and over. It was chaos in her head right now. So much chaos that even though she could feel the stares and whispers disappearing from the terrace, she couldn’t focus on any of it
She didn’t want to think about how he was feeling, because he had done this to them. She knew that, but it was so hard to be strong in that notion when he was standing there with that pain in his voice. His green eyes were wide as they pleaded with her
“I’ll do anything, Libs. I’ll do anything. Anything you want.”“You can’t do anything,” Libby said, feeling the tears finally start as she averted her gaze to the New York skyline in front of her, “because you broke us
I know I will never be able to erase the pain I have caused you and it kills me every day that I can’t. It kills me every day that I hurt you at all. That I couldn’t be stronger for you, and that I couldn’t be better. I could apologize every day to you for the rest of our lives and it still wouldn’t even come close to how sorry I am for how badly I fucked this all up. How badly I broke us, especially when you are the best thing I’ve ever had
she was washing her hands of everything that had happened in the last twelve months. She was washing her hands of all of it, and now as she closed her eyes and enjoyed her glass of champagne, she finally felt clean

First off, are you kidding me?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!
As the sequel to “10 Dates” this was not at all what I was expecting out of the second book! I have to say that I definitely loved this one more than the first!
I am so torn between this love triangle. At first I was so excited for Wentworth and Libby to be end game, I wanted to hear more about their love story. Then my heart got ripped out, you’re thinking Wentworth is the perfect boyfriend, then it’s HOW COULD YOU?! As your heart aches for Libby. Then Mr. Professor West comes along and the slow burn of their undeniable attraction towards each other eats at you as you read through the book. Then they FINALLY happen and you’re thinking ok, maybe I’m ok that Wentworth and Libby aren’t end game. She’s got hottie Professor West in her corner now. And just has your completely falling in love with the idea that they’re going to be together, they are going to be end game, POOF. It’s gone. Heart. Broken. Again. I’m going to say it again, ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Then just as I’m thinking ok cool, she needs some time for herself while she’s shopping this movie, NOPE. Wentworth swoops in with a letter we don’t get to finish hearing!
This gave me whiplash. Im so torn between the two men in her life and wanting her to have BOTH, because both of their love stories are EPIC. I want to know, scratch that, I NEED to know which one she chooses. I am so rooting for Wentworth but also so rooting for Professor West!
WHO WILL SHE CHOOSE?!
Thank you so much for letting me read your book, in exchange for a review! Loved it!

10 Dates, the first book in the series was cute. Libby and Wentworth had great chemistry, and we saw some good character growth. 3000 Words - it takes the growth and development and angst and tension and says “double or nothing” in a good way. My jaw was on the floor by the end of chapter 1, and I couldn’t imagine WHERE ELSE could this book go?
Then I was shown new possibilities and situations for Libby. She has such Legally Blonde meets Keeping up with the Kardashians vibes, and that idea of second hand embarrassment for characters, very strong for both her and Ramsey at varying points.
It’s hard to talk too much about specifics without spoiling anything, but I can tell you I messaged the author after I finished reading and my first line was “OMG OMG OMG”
It’s intense. It’s frustrating (in good ways where as the reader we see flaws and fallout — so it’s not an everyone is perfect situation). This isn’t a Hallmark romance; this is an MTV/VH1 situation, and I was there for every second of it.
What I truly like in this book is the ubiquity of finding yourself and knowing what you want to do in life. Are you living for yourself or for someone else? Is it too late to change? Is change what you want? These are all questions explored in various ways throughout the story. If you are a millennial wondering “what if?” read this book.
Spice: 🌶️.5 Recommend: YES. Audience: Romance lovers. Anyone who watched those MTV/VH1 dating shows and enjoyed them. Anyone who loves a unique take on HEA.
Finished this page turner book in one sitting. Thank you Bridget for this story. Willing to wait for Hollywood Libby chapter. I honestly like how green flag (uncle/ brother / good mentor) Prof. Ram West is. I am just torn between him and Went. Who will Libby choose? 🥰
Caroline is depicted as a true mean girl. I am happy that his father did not tolerate her attitude.
P.S.: I got cravings with the Danish & macarons after reading this.

What a whirlwind of a book! Holy crap! What an adventure. I dove into this book and couldn’t put it down. I needed to know what happened and I still feel like we need to know what happens! I don’t want to give anything away but go read this book!
Bridget accomplishes something very difficult with this book: making a sequel better than book one.
It's a new adult, student-teacher story set at Columbia University with a posse of mean girls out to get our FMC. Despite the intimidating page length of 300 pages, the plot is so happening that it took only two sittings before I was done! I liked meeting Ramsey and Caroline, two of the new characters in this series.
It's more than a slow-burn romance book. Libby is a young woman navigating studies, a career, men, friendships, and a problematic father. Through Libby and Caroline, the author ably depicts some issues that bother young women but aren't accorded major significance.
I hope there's a third book and that I get to spend more time with these characters! I love this story, and I can't wait to see what's next for Bridget. I'll be thinking about this book for a long time.
Don't miss out on this story at any cost!
I received an e-ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
If you’ve read 10 Dates, you might think you know what you’re in for when picking up 3000 Words. But this book was such a wonderful surprise! I expected the romance to be at the forefront of the plot but was delighted to find Libby was undergoing a lot of self-discovery and development, alongside a sizzling romance and the usual gaggle of bratty, mean girls. It still maintains the fun, the fast- pace and a steamy MMC who will make you swoon. All up, makes for a great read!

I really wanted to like this book. I tried —I even cried where I was supposed to— but no. Just no. There are books for everyone, and this novel definitely wasn’t for me.
Not only did I have the honor of being Bridget’s Beta reader but also her ARC reader! Being a Beta reader for 3000 Words was a great experience that I will never forget! Thank you Bridget for trusting me to be on your team, and using some of my suggestions!
I loved Libby’s growth throughout her story. I ate this book up, thanks to Bridget’s perfect writing. I couldn’t put this down. The beginning of 3000 Words through me for a huge loop. I was like “WTH, was that.” In a good way. Then Bridget, does another twist, and shocks me with the perfect, unexpecting ending. I was here for it!
“If you love, forbidden love, billionaire fmc, college fun, and personal growth, you will LOVE this!”
Libby Evans is trying her hand at College to honor her Moms memory. While also keeping up with what she loves, modeling.
Can she do both? Her professors and most of her fellow classmates don’t think so. She must prove herself, but things get a little sticky. She ends up spiraling and almost gets kicked out of school altogether. In order to stay, she gets assigned a 3000 Word essay by her hot tutor, Dr. Ramsey West.
Ramsey of course sees Libby as a very hot, privileged Hollywood socialite. As he gets to know Libby, he realizes he underestimated her. Ramsey falls for her beautiful mind and gorgeous body.
He knows she is off limits thanks to his profession. When things take a turn, where does he end up? With or without her?
What happens after you get into Columbia when everyone thinks you’re just some dumb supermodel with no depth? Well that’s where Libby Evans comes in. We all got to know her in the first book - 10 Dates - and while even I can admit there were times I was simply annoyed by her in that one, her character growth in this book is simply outstanding.
She hasn’t removed herself from modeling, but she has to figure out how to be a role model student, a model, and not completely spiral into self-destruction after Wentworth ruins things with one phone call. Libby really only has her friend Lo that she’s moved in with, and even that isn’t her first choice because she avoids talking about things for so long.
Enter Ramsey - is he a hot head professor? Or is he just who Libby needs to get back on track?
Honestly if I say anything further, I’ll spoil the book. To be fair, I don’t want to do that since there are already plenty of spoilery reviews. Just know you can now grab this book!
Expect whiplash in the absolute BEST way!! This book was so well written & such a page turner... I finished it in two days! I loved Libby & Wentworth in book one, but this one somehow is even better!! Read it now!!
Spoilers incoming: I was so ready for Wentworth & Libby to be endgame, so I was honestly a little disappointed when I read what he did to Libby. But then… enter a broody yet confident & caring older man who is her professor… suddenly I am not so upset anymore because I too would rather have a hot professor than a cheating paparazzo. #yougogirl. The slow burn? Amazing. The chemistry? Show-stopping. The inevitable kiss & hookup? I’M DESCEASED ITS SO GOOD. But then it too ‘twas snatched away from us. So now, I’m already ready for the next book because I have to know 1) how Libby’s return to Hollywood as an actress goes & 2) who the heck is this woman ending up with??

3,000 Words is the sequel to 10 Dates and I was not expecting this out of the second book. I really enjoyed it. I was excited to get to read more of Libby and Wentworth’s story because he made her feel alive again. So I was shocked at what he did. I did feel bad for Libby because she seemed to be getting on the right track. Then we met Professor West and I just kept waiting and waiting for one of them to make a move and then it finally happened.
Libby was happy again but she keeps getting a target on her back and they go after her so again a scandal comes out and messes things up for Libby. Then Wentworth showed up and wrote a letter we did not get to finish reading. Will this movie be the break Libby needs or is there going to be another love interest with her co-star??? I can’t wait to find out what happens! I’m rooting for Wentworth but I do not like what he did so I’m also rooting for Professor West.
3000 words is the second book in the Hollywood Socialite series. Such a wonderful read! I throughly enjoyed this book. I was worried I would get sad about Libby and Went’s relationship not working out, but now I’m realllllly hoping Ramsey makes his way back in to her life.
I’m really proud of Libby for living out this part of her life and growing in each book. I feel like I know her on a personal level from all of the growth I’ve seen from her.
If you’re looking for an easy, light hearted, but slightly scandalous read, this series is the one for you! I’m really hoping there’s a 3rd one coming out!
Thank you so much Bridget for the ARC! Can’t wait to read more of your books in the future!

I absolutely adored this book and couldn't seem to put it down. Felt this book was better than the first one, and I loved the first one too. I loved the storyline in this book and the way that life is explored in this book, about living for yourself and no one else.
I just love Libby so much and the growth she gets in this book, especially after the first one. Libby just wants the best for everyone but she finally realises that she needs to do the best for her.
This book made me hate Wentworth for how he treated Libby and I'm glad that Libby was able to move on from this, but I'm kinda intrigued as to whether he can win her back
Ramsey West is just a walking green flag.
Libby and Lo just have the best friendship and I love it so much
Wow, just wow….. I really liked the first book in this series - 10 Dates- but this book takes it to a whole other level. I loved the story, I thought the writing was fantastic and boy does it give you tons of feels. I have to say at the beginning I was truly heart broken and dare i say angry. I’m a romantic at heart and loved Wentworth and Libby together. Their love story was a dream. Until he destroyed it!!!!! It took me longer than Libby to get over the betrayal. Ugh!!!! lol. Yet the author writes another amazing love story….and breakup. And now I’m left wondering what happens next?!?!?! Hands down this book will not disappoint. Read this series now!!

Libby and Went finished book one heading off into the sunset - and book 2 takes us through their relationship and what’s next once they make big changes to their lives!
Moving to the east coast and New York we’re in for a scholarly adventure as Libby tries to merge her modelling career with being an Ivy League student.
Navigating a narky processor, work demands and relationships present a whole new world of problems for Libby, and now she has escaped the toxic Brat Pack she has left the backstabbing behind … or has she?!
Excellent follow up to 10 Dates, and we anxiously await the next book later in 2024!
Libby Evan barely made it out of LA unscathed after the story of her and Wentworth was leaked. Now it's time to pack up, head east, and show the world she's more than just a pretty face with a supermodel body. Libby is going to Columbia!
The jokes are made, she's only there because she slept her way in, or it's just a publicity stunt....especially after a disastrous 1st semester due to the turmoil brought on by Wentworth's infidelity.
When paired with a staff member to mentor her and get her back in the university's good graces, Ramsey not only pushes her to become the writer she can be, he also fights to break her shell. Will he get in and will Libby cause yet another scandal in her wake?
For me, I sadly struggled to enjoy this, I just wasn't able to enjoy another group of unlikeable characters - I couldn't understand Went doing what he did after the last book either. I'd have liked more of her flatmate and girlfriend story tbh too. I think I'm just too old to enjoy this genre in book form - I'd probably watch it on TV as it gives PLL kinda vibes. I can't mark higher than 2.5 - but that's purely based on my feelings towards the plot, it's written well, just not for me.
Book 2 of the socialite series - thank GOD the brat pack were hardly in this book! I was gutted at first when I heard about a new love interest but once you get past the first chapter you can see why… and Ramsey is an absolute sweetheart. Libby is sometimes a bit difficult to like as an FMC but she is so REAL - she jumps to conclusions, she’s a bit of a bitch still, she wants to prove to people that she’s more than just a supermodel. I can’t wait for book 3 and I’m very much Team Ramsey.
This book is so much fun and unexpected in the best way. I love Libby’s story and how much she changes through the book. She’s not always a character we want to root for but somehow, she turns it around and becomes the best version of herself. This was such a nostalgic and fresh take on college romance. I loved every minute of it.
Thank you to the author, Bridget Van Der Eyk, for inviting me to be a part of the ARC review team for this sequel to 𝟏𝟎 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
1. 𝐀𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫 - Guys. Seriously. This series is one that you do not want to miss. Bridget has created a character in Libby Evans that you will want to immerse yourself into.
2. 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐎𝐧 - Sometimes the inaction of the characters just drives me crazy! Just pick up the phone. Just go to someone’s house. Just DO SOMETHING!
3. 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 - I feel so much compassion for Libby. She just cannot catch a break with the general population because everyone seems to think she is just a dumb supermodel with no intelligence.
4. 𝐇𝐨𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐫 - Okay, fine. You still need another reason to read this? How about a hot professor who Libby has to succumb to in order to stay on track at Columbia! And by succumb, I mean get tutoring and write a 3000 word essay. Geez, why did your mind go dirty right away 😉
5. 𝐘𝐨𝐮’𝐫𝐞 𝐊𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧’ 𝐌𝐞 𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐬 - Gah 😩 The ending. I just can’t handle it. I needed something to stick. But nothing. Nothing?! And by the end, I was on the side that I didn’t think I would be…then I switched back quickly. But then…nothing 😩 I need the next one more quickly please!
After reading 10 Dates, I couldn’t have been on a bigger high with Libby and Went. My world was absolutely ROCKED in this book! The betrayal and the downward spiral that followed suit was hard to read but definitely relatable. I felt every emotion Libby encountered after having her world shattered. When I say my jaw hit the floor and I cried, I mean it!
I was just as annoyed as Libby for having to deal with another mean girl, Caroline, but I absolutely loved how karma caught up to her in the end! I was jumping up and down screaming, absolutely wasn’t expecting that but I LOVED IT!
The growth Libby encounters in the process is just amazing. I’m hoping there’s a story after this that follows Libby after she walks away from Ramsey…one where they reconnect…under better circumstances. Maybe? *insert winking face*
Thank you so much @authorbridgetvde for allowing me to read this eARC copy. I voluntarily give my review and I loved this book and the series as a whole!
