The premier reference for making Chicago Bulls fandom a lifestyle instead of just a sports preference, this collection of essential team knowledge and Bulls-related activities distills the past 50 years of NBA basketball into a fun checklist that will appeal to fans of any age. It’s one thing to have been to the United Center and rooted for Derrick Rose, to relish highlights of a young Michael Jordan, or even to know that all six championship teams were led by Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Coach Phil Jackson. But it is a whole other level of fan commitment to know who Benny the Bull is named after, which player once grabbed 37 rebounds in a single game, and how the Bulls missed out on Magic Johnson in the draft. These facts and trivia—as well as important dates, player nicknames, key jersey numbers through history, and even the best places to eat before or after a game—are included in this resource that will enlighten new fans and initiate them into proper Bulls fandom, or remind die-hard fans why theirs is the team to follow year after year.
The title is a bit misleading. Only 1 out of the 100 chapters entices the reader to actually “do” anything (pick your best roster of former Bulls players). I noticed a few typos throughout and a discrepancy with one key stat surrounding the Pippen/Kukoc game winning shot (Chapters 19 & 36).
A lot of the information in this book overlaps- if you’re just checking out a specific chapter here and there, it’s fine. But to read about Elton Brand being traded for the umpteenth time or some of the redundant statistics of the 70’s teams- all seems like it could have been more concise. Admittedly, reading the entire book in one sitting might not have been the author’s intent.
I enjoyed the book overall, and would welcome an updated version. Go Bulls!

A thorough yet concise overview of the most important parts of Bulls history. Learned things that I didn't know before, but also rehashed a lot of events with little or no additional insight.
Over the past semester, I read a book called 100 things bulls fans should know & Do before they die. The Author is this story is named Kent Mcdill. I am a huge bulls fan and love the game of basketball. When looking through the library trying to find a good sports book, I found this one. I thought I knew everything about the bulls organization but, gosh was I wrong. This book has 100 different stories about the bulls that makes it what it is today. Starting the organization in the early 60’s to now. Everything about the bulls pastime. The big thing the story talked about was the bulls in the 90’s with Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. Those guys were huge for this organization in the 90’s when winning six championships in 1991,1992,1993,1996,1997 and 1998. They created the biggest dynasty in the league's history. This book also talks about the bad times in the organization in the early 60’s when just starting and after the dynasty years with Jordan. This story also talks about what’s going on with right now in the organization with superstars Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah on the team. If you are a huge bulls fan like I am, I recommend you to read this book because, you learn so much about the Bulls pastime and how it got to where it was today.
