Found this 1939 book in the back of our HQ. I lovely insight into Lord Robert Baden-Powell’s life, from losing his father at 3yrs old to his unhappy days at Charterhouse and then his career in the British army (including Mafeking), through to his concept and creation of the scout movement with the help of the monarchy. I wonder if the author nearly 90 years ago, ever thought this book would inspire the current scouts leaders of the movement today!
