I recently moved back to Kansas City after going to college and this book really helped me rediscover the magic of the area. Seeing all the wonderful places so close to where I live made me feel like there is still so much of this city to see. I did a quick day trip based on recommendations from the book shortly after getting it. The recommendations were great and so interesting! The food recommendations were great as well! I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking to rediscover the area and see Kansas City in a new light!

If you travel around Kansas a lot it might be interesting to do a pit stop in some of these places. Not really worth planning your entire day around most of these unless you’re planning to do a tour of Kansas wineries, bed and breakfast, small local museums and cafes. The occasional gem is found in this book but definitely give it a google search before heading out to see if it’s something worth going to.
