Wow! Awesome comprehensive look at Pterosaurs from finding their fossils to stories of them in popular culture (eg Arthur Conan Doyle's "The Lost World" 1912). There are over 100 species spread over 40 Genera. Some had hair (implying warm blooded); some may have walked; some were palm size (peteinosaurus); some were bus size (quetzalcoatlus northropi): The book includes graphics showing size comparisons to humans along with two-page colour rendition images of reconstructed creatures in different habitats.
The book goes into detail on bone structures and variations. Quite an impressive encyclopedia from thirty years ago. Too bad it is out of print.
