It has often been said that the race is not always to the swift but to those who keep on running. Our Christian lives, a marathon so to speak, must go through necessary stages of maturity to bring forth the fulfillment of our destiny. In God's Plan For Success Nehemiah's Way, Connie Hunter-Urban skillfully parallel's the natural house construction with the ancient gates and shows how each of the gates are necessary and laid out in our lives to yield successfully more fruit. The gates natural substances of wood, bronze, and copper are representative of traits we possess in effort, strength, and pliability.
The heart of this book stemmed from the author not initially seeing the growth she felt she needed in Him. Her in-depth journey, research, and exhortations will encourage you to fight the good fight of faith and not lose perspective when the adversities surface. From our initial salvation(Sheep gate) through the last gate Miphkad(fulfilling of your destiny), the entire ten gate progressive course will challenge you, encourage you, and allow you to see the necessity of walking out needed phases to ultimately come to the place where you stand as a solid soldier in the army of God- prepared and equipped for good works. By observing these principles of allowing Holy Spirit and the water of the Word to wash you, it will be found refreshing and enlightening. Thank you for introducing me to the progression in the Christian faith. You have opened my eyes to so much of the way God leads us in the walk. .. so much to understand and take into our very being through the work of The Spirit of God. Miss leading book
I read a few chapters of this book. This lady believes the Holy Spirit is separate from God and Jesus. I believe in the Trinity where God is three in one. God the Father, the son and the Holy Spirit.
It was an interesting read apart from that as she talks about her family.

God's Way Indeed!
Reading this book was informative, enlightening, and uplifting. I felt myself grow spiritually, because when we enter the presence of God we cannot go back to what we were, there has to be a change!

This book is really good! I love Connie’s writing style. This book is about the stages in our walk with God all the way till maturity. She uses the book of Nehemiah as a study to describe our stages of growth in the Kingdom. She describes the different stages in life such as falling in love with our shepherd Jesus, and second stage of sharing the good news of what has transpired in our lives because of King Jesus. He he he and going deeper in God this is really amazing. Knowing God and his amazing ways. Then her teachings on enduring the trials how God can use trials to shape us and transform us and to grow. If we hold on to him we will see him bring breakthrough. Getting our characters refined by God by knowing him more in the trials we go through. After coming from the valley the Holy Spirit fills us up and refreshes us. Then we start feasting on the word of God. Reading the word of God which brings strength, encouragement, direction, instruction and cleansing in our lives. Being filled through the rhema word of God. Then the horse gate doing warfare. After being equipped by God we are destined for success in everything through Jesus. Wow my favourite chapter was on worship and praising God and how that changes the atmosphere and brings miracles, healings and deliverance. The last stage God takes us to the place that he has designed for us and destined for us to be. Were we receive assignments from the lord. Wow I loved this book. This is the best book on the study of Nehemiah that I have read and I intend to read it over and over again. it's worth it reading the book.

This is awesome and life changing book. Connie hunter reveals the keys to successfully grow and mature in your Christian Journey by Using Nehemiah system. Using life situations, bible scriptures with Nehemiah’s gate to show how to walk with God in such a incredible way. The first chapter; The Sheep Gate:Falling In Love, is about god being like the Shepherd and you being like sheep. How you need to be fully dependent on him and how God deeply adore us like a Shepherd for his sheep. As we get to know him, we love him back. Come Along comes rest, guidance ,protection, peace and so much more. Also their are different parts to in this chapter. In the second chapter The Fish Gate:Sharing the news is about sharing the good news about the Gospel with people who haven't received salvation. We are to be fishermen capturing the lost soul into God's Kingdom. This book is so amazing and exciting.It's so much insight and wisdom in each chapter. She talks about Going Deeper with God by getting to know him and his way.Also the Enduring the trials,refining your Character,Getting filled,devouring the word,doing warfare,fostering worship and lastly fulfilling your destiny. This book is definitely a book to keep in your personal library, AND IF YOU FOLLOW THESE STEPS YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED AT ALL.Right now I'm rereading this book again.This is Destiny Image book review program.

Sometimes living out the Christian life can be a puzzling mystery. We have the Word of God and we go to the Father in prayer, yet somehow things don’t always turn out as expected. In her excellent book “God’s plan for our success Nehemiah’s way” Connie Hunter-Urban takes us on a spiritual journey through the book of Nehemiah that offers fresh revelation on life for even the most spiritually mature amongst us. This book is deep. You will learn that God truly has a plan for your life and through this journey of Nehemiah’s gates, Connie Hunter-Urban unravels some of the “mystery” and helps us find our way. In almost systematic fashion, we discover the joy of knowing God’s will. Sure, there are trials and valley experiences, but also triumphs as we walk along the path that she directs us toward (and through!). Ultimately, we discover that true success is falling in love with Jesus and submitting completely to him. Our greatest joy is found in the loving arms of our Father and knowing that in him, we have a destiny and purpose. This book was given to me for review by Destiny Image.

Connie brilliantly lays out a map of our Christian journey simplifying and revealing profound insight to God’s heart through her pursuit in unraveling the gates in the book of Nehemiah.
This is a solid study that could be used in small groups, bible studies, as well as for the individual hungry to grow in God and stay the course. Our path is so often longer with hiccups and hurdles and not the least bit comfortable at times, that understanding the process (and God’s discipline, not punishment) can strengthen us for the tests that can ultimately take us out by way of skepticism or discouragement, thus overwhelming us before we realize our purpose.
Treasures and mysteries are given freely that He has hidden for his people to seek out, while multiple meanings are exposed and interpreted with the use of continuous scripture, solid Greek and Hebrew translations’, defined meanings and intertwined personal anecdotes’.

If you are looking for a study on the book of Nehemiah this is the one. The journey of our christian walk from salvation to our God ordained destiny is hidden in scripture. Beginning at the fish gate where we first receive salvation through to our God ordained destiny at the final gate. In this study Connie reveals to us the depths of scripture, original meanings of words and names reminding us that God does nothing by chance and that the challenges and trials life brings us; if we choose to allow them; bring us ever closer to our Lord and his purpose for our lives. This book has left me hungry to discover more of what has been hidden in scripture for us to find.

God's Plan For Our Success Nehemiah's Way written by Connie Hunter-Urban is a great book! I absolutely loved it! Anyone who is interested in going deeper and exploring the book of Nehemiah will find this book to be an excellent help. She compares the gates and what they represent to our spiritual growth. I will definitely be rereading and studying this book again. If we understand the gates and how they progress, our own walk will be enriched.

This book is absolutely wonderful. I think it is a book I will go back to, just as a reminder of all the treasures I gleaned from reading about the gates on Wall around Jerusalem. It is a very easy read and very exciting.
