This book is very detailed and descriptive, which my boys love. I also liked that there are all sorts of people in the pictures: men, women, people of color. (Although there is one page that refers to “workmen,” instead of just “workers.”)

A fantastic book on construction, simplified for kids. Really good. Even I learned things from it!

I didn't have high hopes for this book. We read a lot of construction books that leave me yawning. This one is wordy and informative with some details we've not read elsewhere. But watch out don't call my son's backhoe by the wrong name. He will let you know that one end is a backhoe and the other is a payloader. He's two and likes accuracy. ;)
