This book will help you discover Walt Disney World’s secrets, history, hidden treasures, and the little details that make everything so wonderful. It is divided into six chapters. Chapter One covers the "World" in general; the next four chapters cover each of the theme parks; and the sixth and last focuses on the areas "Beyond the Parks" — the resort hotels, the monorail, Downtown Disney, and the water parks. Each chapter begins with multiple-choice questions, followed by the correct answers and additional fun facts about the subject.
Walt Disney World Triva Book, Secrets, History and Fun Facts The Walt Disney World Trivia Book, I rate 10 stars. It’s a must read for all Disney-lovers. It can be read lightly (as in playing a fun game of questions) or as a book of fun facts. Not only is it fun to read, it’s informative. Here’s some of the interesting things I learned from it.
*Very much interested in seeing either the Keys to the Kingdom or the Backstage Magic tour*
*Wow! There’s a whole nother “land” under Disney World that serves as the first floor for employees. That means that we are walking right on top of this secret underground dwelling. Again would love to be a fly on the wall*
*The whole story, where the “bride” pushes you out the window at the Haunted Mansion ride and you die, and can see the ghost clear because you “are” one. Do you know as many times as I’ve rode this ride (okay it’s not that many) I didn’t know there was a story. I seriously didn’t even hear it being told?*
*Same goes for It’s A Small World-You mean to tell me there’s a restaurant called Pinocchio’s Haus that can be seen through a window? Well aware of the ride not the restaurant*
*Don’t remember anything at ALL about EPCOT. Think it would be cool to see the lady that makes the animals out of dough Wonder could she make me a penguin. That would be TIGHT!*
*Interesting to know that when the Tower of Terror was being built just like in the legend, thunder DID actually strike the building*
*Had to see for myself the Castle’s transformations
*GREAT book! I was surprised to realize how much I DIDN’T know about Disney World.”
I had this book for like 5 years and I didn't finish it!
I'm a HUGE disney geek and I mean HUGE! Yesterday I watched the 60th of Disneyland and I was missing my home away from home (Walt Disney World) so I finally take it and read it!
There's some questions that were hard to answer since the attraction or the restaurant was closed for a long time now... but I guess I can blame myself for that, if I had read it when I got it... anyway!
I learned a lot in this book and I look forward to read the volume 2 as well!
For any Disney lover, in particular WDW lover, this book is a must have. Lou Mongello does a great job of recording fun facts in an easy to read, multiple choice question and answer format. If you're planning a trip to WDW I would highly recommend this book to use as a fun reading activity in the lead up to your trip!
I did the Magic Kingdom quiz for this when I first got the book and remember being annoyed as I didn't score very well! Fast forward 11 years later and I have finished.
This book was written in 2004, I first went to Disney World in 2008 and I didn't get the book until 2010 so by the time I purchased it, it was already out of date. One of the great things about Disney World is that it's always changing, however that does make it hard to do an old quiz book about it!
Some of the things mentioned in the book, I had never heard of but still lots of interesting facts about Disney, especially when you read the answers. I didn't do very well on any of them. I didn't redo my score for MK so have not included that here as no idea where I wrote it down.
EPCOT - 38/121 MGM (See how out of date this is!) - 23/74 Animal Kingdom - 25/48 Beyond the Parks - 38/70
Yeah, not the Disney master I thought I was! but still fun to do :)
Very neat book!! I am learning so much that I didn't already know....which I didn't think was possible! My husband and I have an on-going competition with the multiple choice questions in the book....of course I'm in the lead!
I finally got around to reading the whole book and not just having my sister ask me questions. Loved every second of it - the book is well-researched and has lots of those fun Disney tidbits beginners and Disney die-hards can both enjoy.
It was really interesting to read the trivia facts in here! The only thing I didn't like was the set up, that it was like a multiple choice test. I didn't like looking back and forth from the questions to the answers.
It has a lot of interesting trivia, but the format of the book is not friendly. I just want to read the trivia, not get faced with multiple choice questions and have to flip back into the back for the answers.
Absolutely adore this book, I love learning new facts about Walt Disney World and this is a book I can read over and over again and try to retain the facts I learned previously! Such fun with its multiple choice questions!

Amazing amount of trivia/knowledge. As a once in every 5 years visitor to the Mouse, most of this level of detail was lost on me. Maybe I should've started with volume 1.
You need to listen to Lou's podcast! Hope someday to get that handshake and a hug.
I learned some new facts about the World but the format, switching between quiz questions and then ahead several pages to read the answer, was nerve-wracking.
